Good Saturday morning all. Currently -5°C and overcast. Looks like the cold snap is over! For now.
We are already home from our skating class. I've got lots of laundry to do now that the worries of frozen washer pipes is over.
Later, my daughter has a skating competition so we will be heading out.
Have a great day all :)

The temperatures today got up to 36 degrees and will be in upper 30's and 40's some of this next week but then down to teens and below toward the weekend. No more snow yet but there is snow in the forecast all week, too. I think it will be a good week to stay in and sew. dooley

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -1°C and foggy. What a difference in temperatures from a week ago!
DD had a skating competition yesterday and came home with 2 gold medals. She has one more event today and we will be heading out shortly.
Hopefully they wont be running late and I will be able to get back home early enough to finish my mountain of laundry!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone. Our cold snap has finally come to an end. Or at least for now!

Had an early morning walk with a friend. She &I have been walking every Sunday am for at least 20 years. Today we welcomed the break in the weather. 20 degrees F is down right balmy!

Cloudy here today but the temps got up to 36 degrees. Weather says we will have 44 tomorrow and then head down to the normal lows for this time of the year. Some rain and drizzle but no snow today. Maybe during the week we'll get more snow. We still have a foot or more from the last snows. I don't know what they will do with it when they plow. There is no where to put it without burying something along they way. dooley

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -1°C and windy. We had rain last night, which melted most of the snow. It's going to be another wet day today.
Hubby cleaned the chimney yesterday while I carted more firewood inside. He saw he standing with an odd look and asked me what I was thinking about. I told him I was thinking about a gas stove, one that wouldn't require me carrying wood haha
Just some cleanup to do today.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Temp reached a little over 70 deg yesterday and almost that the day before so I was out doing some garden clean up....leaving leaves on the ground though since we have some freezes in our near future. But it really felt good to be out there finally, I had to stop gardening last year in April when our temperatures hit the 90's with no rain and stayed stuck there all the way through October. Really felt good to be out side but not sure I can manage much out there today...over 6 months of no gardening means a slow return to gardening for my poor muscles, but I need to remove a couple of rose bushes that couldn't take last years weather and left for a more pleasing weather conditions.

As Toni said, the weather here has been in the 70's, and we've been taking advantage of it. Husband tilled the seasonal garden, I planted broccoli starts, and both of us are very happy!

Today reached 79°. The next week or ten days will be similar.

With this weather, the plants will begin to bud and flower thinking it is spring. Unfortunately the inevitable late spring freeze will kill this early growth.

It's winter here again. It says snow starting an hour ago but we haven't seen any here yet. Maybe three or four inches. We have a lot on the ground so I don't think we really need anymore. It's turning cold here again and may only get up to the low teens today. Zero tonight. It's windy and there has been some freezing rain during last night so we aren't going out any where today. I'm supposed to be doing some sewing but I'm sitting here doing things on the computer. I hope you all have some good weather today. dooley
