Good Wednesday afternoon all, it's stopped raining at last. Trying to brighten up 10c to 13c.
Cleaned some of the kitchen cupboards and then walked the boys.
    Have a good day all.

This was a particularly good morning for the cats. Each time I make tuna salad, I drain the tuna water into their treat bowl and set it out for them. They LOVE tuna water. I may have to get a bigger treat bowl.

I harvested basil and parsley early before the sun hit the plants. As soon as the butter softens, I'll be making basil butter and parsley butter. My husband is getting a bit worried, seeing all these small containers of herb butters stacking up in the freezer. He thinks he'll have to eat them all! Fortunately we have a friend that absolutely loves herb butters. She even offered me her first-born in trade for basil butter. I've seen the kid--no thanks!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 10°C and overcast. My dog has had his nose out the bedroom window for a while now, I think there must be something out there. As long as it's not a bear we are good. Off to work ... not sure how long that will last today and rain is in the forecast again sigh
It's been a good year for transplanting so I've been thinning some beds. Makes for a sore back.
Have a great day all :)

    Good Thursday afternoon all
It's still raining here and today we have heavy drizzle. The brook is very high and going fast.
Haven't done much today just the odd things and walking the boys in this horrible weather.
    Have a good day all

I did get a half day in yesterday ... worked in the rain until I was soaked through to the skin. Then it was time to go home.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 7°C and sunny. A little cool, but the sun is out!
I had a great day yesterday, and today I am going to spend the day in the gardens. Lots of weeding to do, and still lots to plant.
Also lots of grass to cut!
Have a great day all :)

Morning all. A couple of weeks of dry, low humidity, not a cloud in the sky makes for the beginning of very arid conditions down here. But we finally got a decent amount of rain last night. A little over 2.25 inches overnight so no watering for a couple of days. And while the ground is moist I can easily dig up some of the tall Mexican Petunias that I have been wanting to move.....they spread and fill in blank spots quickly, grow tall 3-4 feet and have pretty purple blooms.

Tornado warnings are blasting out, Randy is a weather watcher and is on his way to a specific spot so he can report what he might see there. It is raining and the wind is blowing.....now if the rain and the wind suddenly stop and the it becomes difficult to breath then I will grab the cat and head into the closet.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear.
Looks like we might actually have a few days without rain! I'll be taking full advantage of that!
Have a great day all :)

Thanks Logan. No tornadoes hit the ground around us but it stayed dark and ugly for a quite a while, more tree damage from high winds. Our Chinaberry tree out back has a large limb torn almost off and just hanging there, have to find some one to cut it off.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 13°C and clear. It looks like Mother Nature is finally giving us a stretch of dry weather!
I should be able to get the rest of the garden in this week, and maybe get caught up in some outside chores.
I'm off to work, where the pumpkin patch is going in! Have a great day all :)
