Yep Tex Ritter sang it in the movie High Noon. There was also a version recorded by Frankie Laine.

Another day of cold that stabs through my neck and brings on a migraine so I will stay inside. Tomorrow is to be the same...I hope to be back out in the garden Thursday and over the weekend.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -4°C with snow on the ground!
Not impressed with these below average temperatures.
Have a good day all :)

Good morning, and golly I've missed the Stew! Our internet provider is "off again, on again" and this morning it's on. Husband contacted the company and they aren't doing house calls for a couple of weeks, but did forgive this month's payment. Of course, with no internet they sent us an e-mail confirming the payment forgiveness. Makes sense, huh?
If I'm not around for a while, it's because we have no connection. Don't worry--we are fine, just a bit frustrated. It could be worse, we could have snow like Netty does!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. The snow melted yesterday, but then we had snow squalls all day. I had no idea what I would wake up to this morning. There is no snow to speak of, but with the wind it sure is COLD out there! I think I'll be working on indoor projects today.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday afternoon. Got out early to work in the back garden. I have to be careful out there, about a week ago poison ivy sneaked...snucked...showed up out there again. My right arm is healing, left arm got a little but is healing and after today out there I found some red spots on my legs. I thought I was watching where I walked but the sneaky little ...thing... got me again anyway.
Calendula cream is a wonderful thing.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 2°C and clear. Hopefully we wont be getting any snow today!
Sorry to hear about the poison ivy Toni, sounds horrible.
But I'm glad to hear you got some garden time!
I'll be getting some myself today :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 4°C and sunny.
With the cold snap behind us, I think it is time to plant my onions, peas and carrots. I have some radish that have germinated, but no sign of the spinach.
I also still have soil to move and some plants to divide.
It's going to be a busy day in the garden, as tomorrow we get rain.
Have a great day all :)

    Trying to keep busy.

I saw a documentary on Elvis Presley the other night, so I taught myself this, this afternoon.

I've made it with a mixture of MoTown and Doo-Wop backing.

"It's a great tune played with "all bars out" with which to annoy the neighbours during lock-down."

    (Only kidding)

It's been a bright sunny day again with not a cloud in the sky.

I've some watering to do this afternoon.

Dry and sunny, not a cloud in the sky,...again!
Only a bit of watering to do.

The craft storage/desk I bought for my wife arrived today.

It only took about an hour to put together. I don't think it represented good value for money, but I wouldn't mention it to her. It was what she wanted, so that was good enough for me.

Looking on-line for similar items, there's a lot of choice, but they are all horrendously expensive. Anything associated with "craft," is always expensive, much as anything I found with the word "koi" associated with it used to be when I was in to that as a hobby.

She's in the middle of sorting things out between what will be going on it, what will join the stuff in the cocktail cabinet of the big wall unit in the front room, what will be joining other stuff in the unit I built for her in the box bedroom and what will be in boxes piled up behind her Stressless chair, or behind the other one in this photo.

I reckon two days should see it done.

    Bought more plants yesterday.

A bit too cold for me outside today, walked around the backyard surveying my domain .. or actually the domain of a colony of feral cats who have set up housekeeping out there...they keep our back yard clear of mice and rats (there is a big undeveloped field area across the street from us and when something does get built over there guess were the vermin go to find a new home) And of course, being the sucker for a good sob story that I am, I feed the cats each the morning. Sounds like that would negate any good benefits of having them around but it works for all of us.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 1°C and sunny with very strong NW winds. The wind blew all night long and is to continue to blow until this evening.
One more cold day and then temperatures are on the rise to more seasonal temperatures. I've been keeping my eye on the forecast because I am eager to plant my onions, carrots and peas! I have some new raised beds that I can't wait to fill.
Have a great day all :)

Well Doghouse, that table does look good, I find the castors a good aspect. I agree with you about the price of things. I find it enormously irritating that items that are used in certain hobbies can be wildly expensive simply because they used in that hobby. The vendors just laugh when you point out the ridiculousness of what they are doing. I get this all the time with beekeeping supplies.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -5°C and sunny. Those winds are still blowing today, and it feels like winter. We had snow squalls yesterday, and the wind gusts blew up to 80km/hour! I hope the winds settle down soon. Not sure what I'm up to today, but I'm sure it will be indoors.
