Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 17°C and clear. I've noticed my 5am dog walk getting darker and darker already.
Busy day ahead, work and then off to help a friend with her garden for a few hours.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning and TGIF! Another long work week almost over. Yesterdays promised rains were a bust and so it looks like I'm going to spend my day watering all the gardens.
Darling daughters birthday yesterday ... my 'baby' turned 17. Where does the time GO? We have enough cake here to sink a ship, so I'm taking some to work for a treat for all the hard workers. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday to all! One of the best things about being retired is that most days are Saturdays. It's warm now, predicted to be hot this afternoon. Well gee, it's Texas! I'm making pasta salad for dinner tonight and have just picked cucumbers and yellow squash. These go to the Lutheran food distribution on Monday. They distribute donated food whether you're Lutheran or not :).
All three cats helped me in the garden, husband is out tinkering in the workshop (which means something good is in the works), and Midsommer Murders is on PBS tonight, so it's shaping up to be quite a good day.
    Hope yours is, too.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 15°C and overcast. We had a lovely thunderstorm yesterday that watered all the gardens well and filled all the rain barrels. Thats exactly what we needed! I've been picking cucumbers, beans, zucchini, peas, blackcurrents and green peppers from the garden. I'm still waiting for the first tomatoes.
I'm off to work, and hopefully they got the same rain and I won't have to water anything today.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 14°C and cloudy.
I ate the first 3 cherry tomatoes yesterday and they were DELICIOUS! Can't wait for more to ripen!
Off to work, just regular garden maintenance today, and rain later.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Got my coffee, and hopefully a lowkey workday. The weather here is a bit humid, but not too bad. A nice warm morning with cloud cover.

Gotta love those Lutherans! I was raised Catholic, but went to St. Olaf College, so I'm a fan of the Lutherans. :) Nice to see another fan of Midsommer Murders, I'm behind and need to catch up. Have you ever watched Rosemary and Thyme? Another lighthearted British murder mystery, and our heroines are professional gardeners who happen to solve the crimes they stumble upon!

MorningGloryBlu, our local Lutheran church runs a daycare, non-denominational, as well as helping out in our community. I'm a fan, also!
Rosemary and Thyme? I don't think our PBS out of College Station carries that program. I'll keep looking for it--anything to do with gardening, herbs, and mayhem is right up my alley!

Haha I watch Rosemary and Thyme on occasion. They are probably the most interesting gardeners around!
Good Thursday morning all. Currently 16°C and clear. We had a 30 minute downpour last night, which made my gardens (and me!) very happy!
My alarm had to wake me up this morning and I'm still feeling SO tired. It's going to be a long day!
Have a great day all :)

Rosemary and Thyme is no longer shown on our PBS station but I have the DVDs. Our PBS still broadcasts Midsomer Murders, I think it has been a staple there for many years (I like the original Barnaby better than his brother who took over after the original actor retired) I also have DVDS of Cadfael an herb growing and using them to treat illnesses, medieval Monk who fought in the Crusades and is now a detective, Derek Jacobi plays Brother Cadfael.

Good Friday morning all, and TGIF! Currently 15°c and clear. It feels cool, I actually have a sweater on! The heat is coming back this weekend.
Off to work, and thanks to the rain I am almost feeling caught up!
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 22°C and sunny. It's going to be a hot one today!
I was up bright and early to water the gardens. We are heading out shortly to see the grand kids and the grand dogs. Haven't seen the grand dogs since February and we really miss them! We will spend some time there then home again to finish up a few things before the weekend ends. Weekends are definitely too short!
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 15°C and overcast. Nice breeze too.
Yesterday was so humid it was ridiculous! We had a thunderstorm last night and the air is so much better today!
Off to work, it's going to be a pruning day!
Have a great day all :)

Good evening! It's only 4:15 pm so maybe it's still afternoon. It's been sunny with a bit of breeze all day. Well, not all day. Around noon we started to walk to the bus stop to take a little ride. It started to rain on us when we were about half way so we turned around and came back home. Then, the rain stopped and it's been sunny since then. It's very humid though. I think I will just walk on the treadmill for awhile pretty soon. We have the cooler turned on but not with the a/c, it is just bring in fresh air from outside. dooley

We actually got rain today.... 2.6 inches in my rain gauge when it ended early this afternoon that was more than my gardens have gotten in all of the last 4 months.
