It's a sunny but breezy Sunday here. I cleaned the coop, got laundry going, and made sure the hens were secure. The outside coop, after 12 years, is beginning to deteriorate, so we ordered a metal coop for outside. Of course, it came missing two parts so my husband is busy fabricating the missing parts. Bless him, he can do anything and rarely complains!
We will relax this afternoon watching a Formula One race in Italy (love the scenery and architecture!) and then have a nice dinner.
Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday and a good dinner.

    MarlinGardener, the race sounds inviting.
    Now what's for dinner?

We know who won, since the F1 race was on TV from 5 to 8 a.m., but still watching the drivers' abilities and crews' speed in the pit stops is very interesting so we'll be there at 2 p.m. to watch.
What's for dinner? Baked rigatoni with meat sauce, foccacia bread, and a nice Chianti. After all, the race was in Italy and we need to salute the Italian cuisine!

Good Monday morning all. Currently --5°C feeling like -12°C with the wind chill. What a night! The north winds blew so hard and we had snow and rain and freezing rain.
The winds are starting to die back now, and the sun is coming out.
It's my first day home, and I have so much to do that I don't even know where to begin!
I'll have my tea and read the posts and come up with a plan :)

I also heard high wind sometime in the night. Nothing blew away.
The agenda for the day began with tea and planning? Sounds
    perfect.
Mine began with a practice run to the site where we will be collecting
petition signatures tomorrow to Recall our Governor,

Good Monday morning all. Currently 10°C and sunny.
We've had a string of amazing weather and I've been trying to make the best of it! The grass has had its last cut, most of the veggie garden has been cleaned out, and I've started the fall cleanup of the back flower beds. I hope to get the rest cleaned up in the next day or two. I also have a big pile of wood to split and stack! No rush, I'm going to take my time with that one.
First, I'm going to make myself a good breakfast!
Have a great day all :)

OK Netty, you're now my choice for "Woman of the Year". After all the garden work, both veggie and flowers, you then split wood? Amazing!
I helped my brother cut wood for heating and cooking stoves, but I never split the blocks of wood. I probably would have cut my foot off,
or his. Mostly I pulled one end of a crosscut saw.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 11°C and overcast with a breeze. The weather has been amazing this week, and I'm just wondering when Mother Nature is going to go back on her meds and make us pay for it with a snow storm haha
I went on a cutting rampage yesterday, and left a huge trail of destruction in my gardens. Today I just need to rake it all up.
I also have a new oil tank being delivered sometime this morning, and I have to take my daughter to her dance lesson later.
    Another full day :)

Netty, I still think you're an amazing woman.
Makes me tired thinking of all the work you do.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 5°C and overcast.
Another busy day today ... I have several stops on my way to town to drop off/pick up things. Then into the grocery store to pick up a few things for Mum and Dad to drop off to them down in Toronto. Then home to help hubby with a cement pad for our new oil tank and continue moving firewood. I'm determined to get all the wood done before it gets cold!
Might BBQ some steaks for dinner, after all that work we'll need some protein!
Have a great day all :)

Netty, I just read your post and I think I'll go back to bed! The BBQ sounds like a good idea. We are having cornbread/tarragon stuffed salmon tonight, and I can do that on the grill.
Cleaning house, doing laundry, watering the garlic, tending the hens and petting cats are all that's on my agenda.

Great Scott Jane. That stuffed salmon meal has me squirming. It just sounds so delicious.
