Good Friday the 13th all! Currently 2°C and overcast.
I was just thinking about the last Friday the 13th we had this year - it was in March. That was the day that was supposed to be my daughters skating ice show dress rehearsal. Then all heck broke loose ... the Premier announced that schools would close for 2 weeks, the province was basically going into a lock down, and the arena we were standing in announced that they would be closing as of midnight. The dress rehearsal suddenly turned into the actual show! What a crazy time since then!! If only THIS Friday the 13th reverted things back to normal! Waking up from that dream, I am planning my day today. There is still lots of firewood to do, outdoor chores to finish up, and my daughter has no school today and she wants to work on the craft room. It looks like it might rain, so I'm ok with her plan.
Have a great day all :)

Netty, I wondered this morning when we last had a Friday the 13th.
Your memory is better than mine. Since it seems my country started this fiasco, I think an apology is in order. I wish I could turn back the calendar and erase COVID.
So far this Friday the 13th has been just like any other day, for me. Walked a mile and a half, planted garlic, other little chores.

It's Friday the 13th in 2020. What could go wrong?
Husband shredded around the pond so we can see the waterfowl come in and record them for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology annual bird count. We count songbirds, water fowl, and raptors and send in weekly reports from November until April.
Tonight is Cajun night in front of the TV with PBS Newshour and Washington Week.

Sjoerd, on Fridays we have Cajun food that can be eaten out of a bowl. Sometimes it's gumbo, or red beans and rice with sausage, or shrimp creole. Each is spicy and best eaten with a beer.

Sjoerd, either my mind draws a blank, or your meds are kicking in. I looked and didn't see the post regarding meds and Doc.
Lets just chalk it up to too much information for a used up brain / mine, not your's/ LOL

Hiya Growing—i see now that it was your son, not your man.

This is the bit I was referring to. So it was your son, not your man. I don’t know where I got that idea...but I remembered something about seeing the doc after ten days . Hope all is well with him now.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently just 5°C and overcast. There is a special wind warning in effect, we will have strong winds gusting up to 90 km/hour later today. Fun.
Guess that means I'll be working inside today. We are slowly but surely making our way through the wood pile, getting the wood split and stacked. It's been a team effort and I'm sure that we could all use a day off today.
Have a great day all :)

High winds here too, Netty. I feel just slightly uneasy when the wind gets so strong.

Oh my goodness, Sjoerd, one would think I could put two and two together. Sorry for being dense.
Yes, my son is doing well so far. His daughter has been accepted into a sonogram (?) program and will be checking his arteries, he tells me. He still gets twinges and something going on which may or may not be connected.
Thank you for asking! Forgive me for being addlepated, (As Daddy used to say).

Chuckle...Growing. Well, the main thing is that his condition is not worse.

Good morning. Today we will wash more windows. Y’know, it took us years to find a good thing to wash the windows with—one that does not leave streaks. We tried so many commercial solutions and equipment...also even more “mamma always used to use’s”. There was just nothing that would clean up to dutch standards. But now we have it !
    Yippee.

    Sjoerd, thank you.

Is the solution vinegar? If not, then what?
