Looking ahead it is looking more settled and within a week we shall have 20 degrees and happy seedlings...right now a good few days of below average with gusts of 35-40 km per hour...Some things you cannot change so we work around that I think very well...extra layer is all you need.......over done the digging today as I never know when to stop....

    Good Tuesday morning all
It's still cold and sunny with light winds from the north north west temp 6c
Sorted out my notifications for on here, i have 2 email addresses so I changed from one to the other and reset all of my preferences and it worked.:) I thought of that yesterday.
:smt026Don't know if I'll do anything in the garden today, sorting out some of the card bases that Keith gave me for a woman to buy and might have some dog food delivered but I can work around that. I have wrapped up more when it's cold so i might do it.
@DianneWoollie does your back start to ache a lot when you've done a lot? That's the time to stop.

Logan part quote... you've done a lot? That's the time to stop....was too late Logan, my Will is stronger than my senses...
I was fine cooked dinner etc and then sat down very relaxed. Got up and both knees hurt..The left one this morning is in a elastic knee support band..pain relief gel and two paracetamol first thing this morning..Hobbled to the Bank Chemist and then the Supermarket, well was a passenger in our car so hobbled from only the car to the store...and back again..hobbling of course...Now every one feels my pain...just laying in on though, but it has kept me from gardening today, so will get out my supply of alternative hobbies..music on , cross stitch out and a book or two as well.......:snicker:

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently just 4°C and overcast. Rain is in the forecast today, and most of the week.
My tomato seedlings aren't looking too happy today. I'm going to give them a little fertilizer and hope for the best. It is kinda cold in here, and now that I've uppotted them there isn't enough room under the grow lights for all of them and there hasn't been sunshine for a few days.
DianneWoollie, I have the same problem ... I don't know when to stop! My back was sore from moving soil on the weekend, but lucky for me it has been raining so I was forced to stop!
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all wasn't as cold as the day before, sunny at the moment with light winds from the north Temp up 11c
Yesterday thought that i might have some dog food delivered but it might be tomorrow. Got enough anyway always do because it's a small business and sometimes his delivery doesn't arrive.
He used to live just up the road but him and his wife moved into the country somewhere. They have dogs and that's how i got to meet them. If it wasn't for us having dogs we wouldn't know so many people.
    Have a good day all:)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 5°C and foggy.
I'm starting with a new client today. She is 89 years old and has the most extensive, beautiful native gardens. She has finally decided that she needs some help. May I be in her shape at 89 years old! I look forward to working with her and hope to learn a lot!
Have a great day all :)

Oh Netty that sounds like a good location. If it is oké with the client, perhaps you could show some pics when things are blooming. It must be so nice to have a house with grounds.

Netty, both your client and you are so fortunate! Beautiful gardens to maintain, lots of lore and learning for you. For her, seeing her beloved gardens kept up by someone who truly cares. Congratulations to both of you!

Whoopee! I planted the last of the raised beds this morning. Two kinds of summer squash, cucumbers, and a cherry tomato. I have to admit I am happy, and the previous plantings of broccoli, peas, green beans, onions, and potatoes are looking good. We are supposed to have a day and a half of rain, starting late this afternoon. If that happens, I'll be over the moon. If not, I'll be out with watering cans.
Hope you all are having a good and growing day!

Good Thursday afternoon all. Currently 4°C and overcast. It is cold and damp out there and everything is still wet from last nights rain.
Just got back from getting the brakes done on my vehicle, which set me back a pretty penny. But at least I can stop with confidence now haha
Was supposed to head to a clients today, but she says it's too cold out today so now I'm home wondering what to do for the rest of my day.
I'm sure I'll come up with something that needs done.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday to all of you! We had overnight rain, early morning rain, and now a light mist. Our gardens are so happy (and so am I since I don't have to haul water!).
House is cleaned and I'm preparing the dough for a custard pie. It is one of the few deserts husband can have, plus it uses eggs!

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 5°C and overcast. We have had lots of rain and the ground is completely soaked. Puddles everywhere, this is great - April showers bring May flowers! We aren't allowed to go anywhere due to a 'stay at home order'. Its too wet to work outside so I might just putter in the kitchen today, maybe try a few new healthy recipes.
Have a great day all :)
