The Good Day All Thread

It has been overcast all day, but I went into town and gave the guys at the feed store leaf lettuce, did my weekly grocery shopping, and then scurried home.
The wind came up, so I couldn't do some of the outside things I had planned. We are so behind on our gardening tasks, but hopefully we will catch up eventually!

 

Good Thursday morning all. It's still raining on and off with a gentle breeze from the north east temp 10c.
Yesterday thought barley was going to have a bout of diahhroea but he's ok today.

 

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 6°C and sunny.
What a busy week!!
Lots to do today around the house/yard, but first I'm off to visit Dad.
When I get home there is lots of grass to cut, and trimming to do. I have picked up some flowers for the back beds but our 'regular' planting time isn't until next weekend so I'll have to have a good look at the weather forecast before I plant anything. Finally have all my tomato seedlings outside hardening off, it's getting real!

Good Saturday afternoon, it's raining again with light winds from the south south east temp 12c

So not doing much today in the garden so washed my hair, walk the boys then do dinner but not much for today.

 

4.15pm I finished the walks just in time for it to start raining again and it was very heavy and now it's sunny.

 

I am happy for you...finally real signs of spring. Brace yourelf.

Good Sunday morning all. Its a beautiful morning, the sun is shining and the birds are singing. The temperature is 12°C.
Went for a long dog walk and thankfully I grabbed a bag last minute as I picked the motherload of wild asparagus! I left about half in my neighbours mailbox for them to enjoy.
I managed to get all the grass cut and trimmed yesterday as well as the one back flower bed and 2 smaller gardens edged, weeded and deadheaded. Only 9 more to go haha

It's been a warm day and only got wet once in the morning walking berry, so didn't do anything in the garden today.

 

The rain held off today, so I got a lot of tidying done, mowing, weeding etc.,

Sunny with a bit of cloud and light winds from the north west temp 8c
Later maybe showers.
Hubby going to get compost today so I can pot on tomatoes and do my hanging baskets.

It's been confirmed that the environment secretary is going to ban peat based compost in 2024 so have to find a good alternative.

 

Happy Wednesday everyone! It is still cloudy with forecast of rain today, so after cleaning the coop and checking the gardens, I have been inside, doing laundry. From the amount of laundry that piles up, we must be a very dirty couple!

Another very busy day at work today ... mulching, weeding, watering, planting! The heat made it extra fun and the ground was like planting in a dry sandbox. We need rain!
Looks like tomorrow is going to be a busy watering day.
Now I'm off to grill some burgers for dinner!

Good Thursday evening all. Currently 26°C and sunny. The humidity seems to be building as well. A week ago I was freezing and now its so hot we can barely function! I'm hoping for a rain shower and some cooler temperatures so we can become accustomed to the heat. There just doesn't seem to be a happy medium!
Looking forward to this time tomorrow when it will officially be the weekend
