Good Saturday y'all! I'm cracking and picking out pecans, making a pizza for lunch, and mixing up a vinagrette to have on our lettuce salad tonight. I do mean our lettuce--we picked the first of the fall lettuce this morning. The cats are lounging in sun spots on the path, and the hens are in the outside coop soaking up sunshine. Not a bad Saturday at all.

Inspired by your nutcracker, we headed off to the open-air baker and bought some pecan pie to have with the tea.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 2°C and sunny. Its going to be a beautiful day!
Spent yesterday afternoon out in my gardens ... digging up tender bulbs, pulling out frosted veggies, and cutting back perennials. The summer of neglect sure has allowed the weeds to invade, so I was digging them out too! Today I hope to continue while the weather is nice, and get the rest of the perennials cut back, the pots emptied and put away, and bulbs planted.
    But first, my coffee!
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -2°C and sunny.
It is my first day home and I have a lot of plans! I want to get my hydrangeas cut back, 2 small gardens cleaned up, and bottles for the skating club bottle drive returned this morning. I also want to get my car vacuumed out. We'll see how much time (and energy!) is left after that.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently just 3°C and overcast with strong SE winds.
It's been a busy week so far. I've been trying to get the yard work done before the weather turns, and I've got most of it done.
I do still have 2 small gardens to clean out and 3 post holes to dig, and that should be a wrap. But there is always firewood to split and stack!
Back into my winter routine, today is shopping and errand day.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 8°C and sunny.
A busy day yesterday ... started my Christmas shopping, got my groceries and errands done, then home to dig post holes. I only got one done before the rain started.
Today my daughter has test day for skating and she'll be testing her starlight waltz. After that we are heading to see the grandkids, then to the rink tonight.
Another busy day, starting to wonder how I had time to work! haha
Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday! It got really chilly overnight--high 30's--so we had cuddle cats this morning. Buddy came in and wanted his treats and then held, held close a lot. I complied.
Nothing pressing to do outside, so we watched practice sessions for Formula One racing and will watch the sprint race later. I'm rooting for Verstappen to win tomorrow's Grand Prix. He's from the Netherlands and I think Sjoerd would be pleased if he wins.

Absolutely. I don’t watch a lot of racing, but everyone here knows the guy and he is finally getting some international wins. It would be great if he could win and make his chances a bit better for the “big” prize at the end of the season.
What I am watching is the international speed skating competition. Its in the second day of three.

Hi all, 9 deg C, rain and wind today. We had frost Saturday and Sunday, and suddenly the temp rose. I've found new owners for stuff we realized we won't be using and that was a relief. We have too much stuff and need to downsize. I feel like baking something but am fighting the urge. Enjoy your Monday.

Netty, great minds, same track. I'm cleaning today, not as thoroughly as you, but still I'm removing the top layer!
We have sunshine and warmer temps, so after I clean I'll reward myself by going to the garden and communing with the tomatoes.
Droopy, I don't fight the urge to bake--I lose every time.
