Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. We did get a sprinkle of snow overnight.
My daughter and I are making this a girls day and heading to the mall!
I can't even think of the last time we did that so it should be a fun day!
Have a great day all :)

Wednesday, and it started with wind and rain. Then it continued with wind and hail, and now they're mixing some thunder and lightning in as well. Can't say we have boring weather since it changes constantly. I'm screwing up my courage to go shopping. My hope is that people spent a lot of money last week and are holding on to their money until next week when the Black Sales start. (I saw some shops announcing Black Week starting this Friday.) The few items I need won't come on sale this side of New Year's if ever so I'm trying to avoid the screaming masses that get into fights over a T-shirt. Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you're up to!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 0°C with overcast skies and a strong west wind.
Interesting day at the mall yesterday. This was our first trip to the mall since the whole Covid thing started and we were quite put off by the pushy sales people everywhere.
Its one thing to be stopped at the door and told about the many special deals they have, but the sales people inside were beyond annoying and honestly made us leave the store before we were done our browsing. I'm not sure how they think this aggressive approach works in their favor, but to me it does the opposite. And what is with every single store asking for email addresses these days? When you decline and ask for a cash sale, they seem almost mad about it! UGH! My daughter and I both agreed online shopping is a better way to go from now on! Having said that, I did manage to start my Christmas shopping somehow haha
Today is cleaning day, and working on some stuff for the skating club.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 7°C and overcast. We had torrential rain overnight, and the ground is saturated. Not sure if any of you live in British Columbia where the flooding is, but sending prayers to you all there that are dealing with it.
Yesterday turned out to be a very unproductive day somehow. Today we have an appointment and so we will probably spend the day at a different mall today afterwards. We also might do a surprise visit to the grandkids!
Have a great day all :)

Quiet day today. Too wet to clear the build up of leaves in the garden.
Had the car serviced. This is always painless (apart from the cost). Two guys (father and son) come to the house, service the car on the drive, take it away for its MOT then bring it back.

Wow, a cold front came through early this morning, so we have the heat on and I'm making a pot of chili to have tonight.
Husband came in from the workshop with very cold hands, so I gave him a mug of coffee to warm the inside and the outside.
We lived through so much cold when we lived up north that we really don't appreciate chill any longer. However, it does give me a chance to break out the cold weather recipes and have fun cooking!

Hi all, I have been shopping but told you all about it in another thread, lol. The weather is 62 degrees north by the Atlantic-like, wet and windy. I managed to get a 45-minute walk in before going shopping, and now I'm trying to figure out how our very fancy printer my oldest daughter dumped here when she moved works. I need to print out some photos of family and some dear friends that live a long way from here whom we haven't seen for years! Because of Covid.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -2°C with snow squalls! I had to dig out the boots, toque and mittens for my dog walk this morning!
Off to do my errands and shopping this morning, perhaps a little Christmas shopping as well. Really hoping the weather clears as I have 2 gate posts to dig in!
MG chili sounds perfect for todays weather! I may have to make a pot of that too!
Have a great day all :)

Netty, I wish I could send you some of our chili. There is no way possible to make a small batch of chili!
Today is chillier than yesterday, so I'm making cranberry chutney to have for Thanksgiving dinner. It is better after it sits for a while in the fridge. Its aroma just screams "holiday!" My husband even pulled himself away from Formula One practice session on the TV to come take a deep breath in the kitchen. Lordy, I love this time of year!

As usual it was a golf day today, it was that warm it was, "shirt-sleeve order," by 11.00am.
I'm going to tackle the leaves in the garden tomorrow morning as it may rain in the afternoon.

I'm happy to still be here. We both went to get our covid booster jabs on Monday:setf_018: and during the early hours of Tuesday morning I was feeling the effects of a pretty violent reaction to it. Never had such a reaction before, and am now recovering thank goodness.
I still have weeding that needs to be done :sete_011:

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 4°C and overcast.
Home from the rink and now going to dress in layers to go outside to dig some post holes for my garden expansion! I want to get them in before the ground freezes!
Then we have some wood to stack so I hope it doesn't rain!
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -1°C with strong north winds. This is the first day it has felt like November.
I got the post holes in and the fence moved so the garden expansion is complete! I'm still deciding if I want to put raised beds in there or just make it a pumpkin patch for now. Either way I'm very excited for next years vegetable garden and my greenhouse!
Today I was expecting a furnace service man to clean and inspect my furnace, but they called and said they had an emergency. Now I'm not sure when they are coming, but thats a good excuse to stay home and continue the fall cleaning.
Have a great day all :)
