Here in SW Washington it is 13C with rain showers. I'm happy for the rain, because I need a break from outdoor work :) If I get Ambitious I might go to the home improvement store for a few items. There is also some fabric prep to do for the current quilt project.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -2°C and mostly cloudy.
Today is the day! I am going to put up our Christmas tree! Any other year I would wait another 2 weeks before doing so, but this year I am determined to have a Merry Christmas!
We will also continue our Christmas shopping today and do some wrapping.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently -5°C and sunny. We had strong winds overnight and so there is lots of debris in the yard.
Yesterday was errand and shopping day, and today is cleaning and wrapping day!
I also received my 532 page Whole Seed Catalog from Baker Creek, so I'll be spending a good part of the day looking at it! Such a lovely catalog!
Have a great day all :)

Netty, isn't that Baker Creek catalog beautiful? So many tempting and colorful photos. The varieties I have grown from there have almost always been very good.

Probably no outside work today for me. The latest quilt top is coming together. This quilt uses ten thrift store cotton shirts.

    Lovely quilt in progress Daniel!
Good Saturday morning all. Currently -2°C and snow squalls today.
We are home from the rink and the laundry is started, and the next project is making a couple of loaves of banana bread. We wont be going anywhere today as the weather is terrible.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -3°C and overcast. We had snow overnight and everything looks so fresh and clean.
I followed deer tracks all the way down our unplowed road this morning. I wish I would have seen it!
Sargent had a great time running around in the snow this morning! Have a great day all :)

    What a handsome dog, Nettie!

Today I made progress on the blue & grey quilt. I'm happy with it so far. Now it's a pause to wait for border fabric to arrive. I miscalculated, didn't have enough.

Wow, that was fast Daniel! And it looks amazing!!
Good Monday morning all. Currently 8°C and overcast. We had snow squalls yesterday, high winds overnight, rain and warm temperatures, and now the temperature will drop and more snow squalls and high winds are on the way. I'm hoping that skating doesn't get cancelled tonight due to the weather.
Todays project is skating club related ... a new test chart for the senior skaters. I'll take any excuse to drag out the ole Cricut machine!
Have a great day all :)

Daniel, that is a very lovely quilt top!
Today I am doing real cleaning, getting ready to decorate the house for Christmas. I love getting out the nativities, draping the greenery on the mantle, putting out the Santas, and hanging the straw wreath in the kitchen (but not near the ovens or stove!).
I hope you all enjoy preparing for the holidays:heart:.

Thank you Nettie and Marlingardener! That part did go pretty fast. Although, after sewing one section I discovered it was misaligned, and I took it all apart and sewed it back together the right way. :)

Today it's doing the normal wintery Pacific NW thing and raining. I'm making dog food. The recipe makes an eight day supply. Chicken thighs, a green (Spinach), another green (green beans), an orange (carrots and squash), rice (brown and white). Original recipe called for chicken hearts and liver, but I dry those into jerky for treats.

I bought pH paper and brought in some soil to test yesterday, so will do that too.

Today we are making a start on sending our Christmas cards. We will begin sending to foreign addresses and later in the week addresses in our country. Happy Christmas all.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -7°C and lightly snowing. Strong winds overnight have finally subsided, wow it was shaking the house last night!
Mailed off my some of my Christmas cards yesterday, to my relatives in Germany. My Mom was the one that always sent them, but I think its very important to keep in touch with family overseas. It sure has been a test of my German writing skills!
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday all! Lovely quilts you're showing @Daniel W !

Well done @Sjoerd . We haven't even begun to think about Christmas cards. We've always sent photos of our children and animals but the children are now grown-ups and we have no animals. We might have to start a tradition of *sigh* Christmas letters. Or not.

    You're so right @Netty . Good job!

I've wrapped a few presents, tidied up in the laundry room, opened my Lego advent calender, and now I'm going to dive into the 16th century to find out which of my ancestors are buried inside the cathedral in Bergen. I might even find a story or two if I'm lucky. The time is 15.45 and it's dark outside.

But Droopy, Christmas letters are so impersonal. Haha. Of course you only have to write one, but that takes some time and thought as well. If you correspond throughout the year, perhaps folks already know what's going on with you. You’re a smart girl, I wonder what you’ll come up with.

Oh, happy and lovely Tuesday! We decorated the house for Christmas this morning. The tree will be the last bit of decorations after we get the nativities on display tomorrow. I dearly love putting the garland on the mantle, decorating the sideboard, and putting Christmas decorations anywhere I can stuff them!
I do hope you all are enjoying preparing for the holidays, and enjoy the holidays also.
