Good Saturday morning all. Currently -8°C with snow squalls and high winds. When we left for the rink this morning, it was a nice day. Sometime while in the arena Mother Nature turned on us! On the way home we could barely see the road through the wind and blowing snow. Home safe now and not planning to leave again today.
I think I'm going to can up some BBQ pork for my pantry shelf. Pork was on sale and we are out of BBQ pork so thats what I'll do today to stay out of the nasty weather!
Have a great day all :)
Oh, and I do all of those things too ^^, but toilet paper is one of those things I can't make myself yet!

Early Saturday evening and I've finally managed to thaw out after over five hours at the stables. A friend is down with covid so I'm helping by taking care of her horse. Temps around 0 deg C, we were riding in what some people might call a blizzard, but we could see where we were going so we call it heavy snowfall and a bit of wind. It's good to be back in the saddle. It's actually a sheepskin pad, and it was mine until I no longer needed it and lent it to my friend's horse for life or as long as the pad lives. Very nice to sit on in winter.

@marlingardener, I do think about that. I sold the saddle to a woman with a 4-year-old horse. The saddle is perfect for them since the woman is small like me, and the saddle can be adjusted to fit the horse as it grows so she won't have to keep buying new saddles but just book the saddle fitter. Saddles are meant to be used, and I would never hang on to a good saddle just because. I'm only sad because I won't need it anymore. It was the best saddle I've ever had. Top comfort for both rider and horse.

This evening is the national Eurovision finals, and we're getting to vote for our favourites and complain loudly when we send some sweet, young thing with a sweet, dime-a-dozen ballad to the international Eurovision finals. And after tonight we're going to have a closer look at all the other European finalists. I'm hoping for a lot of glam and glitter. We need it!

Enjoy your Saturday, those of you who still have some Saturday left before Sunday.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast. The winds yesterday became stronger as the day went on. The blowing snow became a huge problem and local law enforcement told people to stay home, accidents happened and roads were closed. I was so thankful it waiting until after we were home!
I made 9 jars of BBQ'd pork and 8 jars of black beans for my pantry yesterday.
I'm not sure what the plan is today, maybe by the time I finish my coffee I will know!
Have a great day all :)

Sunday evening here. We got 20 cm of snow during the night, so we had some snow clearing to do this morning. We use the snowblower, it's easier on our backs. I've been out riding, and today we were dry. The sun was out, it melted the snow the plough left on the road, and now it's freezing again so we'll have a nice ice slide road next to our house. It's always fun to wake up in the morning to the sound of a car backing down the hill because it tried to drive up but couldn't. Happy Sunday, folks.

Good Monday! We had a little bit more snow during the night. The weather is slightly milder and now it's sleet in the air and slush in the street. I've mucked out at the stables and now I'm gonna sort coin letters and put them in the albums that arrived at the post office today. Perfect task for a dreary day. I also have to clean the bathroom, but I need a bit of mindless fun first.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 0°C and cloudy.
Today is a holiday here in Canada, called Family Day! Only catch is everything is closed for the holiday, so you cant go anywhere with your family! haha
It's a nice day so we'll probably spend the day outside doing something.
Have a great day all :)

I don't know what they're called in English. It's basically an envelope with stamps on it and a coin in a plastic shell embedded in the envelope. Collector's items only mine aren't worth a lot of money. I have them because I like the look of them.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -4°C and overcast.
We are off to get DD's skates sharpened and then do some shopping.
Weather is going to be rainy so it's the perfect day to shop :)
Have a great day all :)

We have temperatures in the 70's with sunny skies and a light wind out of the south. Don't get too envious--tomorrow is predicted to be cold, wet, and possibly icy.
Husband put in three rows of onions while I was foraging at the grocery. We both had luck. Timi cat didn't dig up his newly planted onion sets, and I found what I needed at the grocery. I bought the last bag of Purina cat food on the shelf. I felt a little guilty until I thought of trying to explain to two cats "there ain't no mo!"

Good morning. Winter decided to pay another visit today. -28 C this morning. Thankfully it is only for a couple of days. Seems like a good day to bake bread. :smt115

Happy Twosday, or Panlindrome and Ambigram Day as it is also called. 22.02.2022 in digital numbers reads the same forwards, backwards, and upside-down. We currently have +1°C. The day started out with -1,3°C. Our snow is melting. I've been at the stables minding my friend's Icelandic. Darned idiot of a horse, but sort of lovable anyway, the spoilt brat. Hope people enjoy their Twosday.

I'm quite envious that you get to spend time with a spoiled Icelandic. :DI'm read much about them - and am an admirer. I have never seen one.
