Good Saturday morning all. Currently -5°C and overcast.
It's getting light out earlier so I seem to be waking up earlier too. Usually I'm in a rush to get to the rink Saturday mornings, and drink a coffee when I get there. Today, I've already walked the dog and drank half my coffee and my skater isn't even awake yet! Kind of nice not to be rushed for a change.
Not sure yet what the plan is for the afternoon, but in the evening we have a competition to go to.
Have a great day all :)

It's Saturday, and that means it is pizza for lunch day! Pizza is such a treat.
We planted our sugar peas this morning, We had intended to plant them yesterday, but it drizzled all day and although we enjoy planting, we don't enjoy getting soaked!

Good Sunday morning all. Currently +7°C and overcast.
Temperatures are going up to 14°C today, which should get rid of a lot of snow!
I hope to spend a good part of the day outside, maybe I can get back to my shed project.
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -1°C and snowing.
Heard a weird noise behind me at the computer the other day, and when I turned around this is what I saw outside the window
    Hawk.jpg
I believe it is a Coopers Hawk. No wonder the birds are so scared around here!
Today I am taking my daughter to a long awaited appointment with my Chiropractor. Keeping my fingers crossed that it gives her a bit of relief.
Have a great day all :)

Netty, that is a Coopers, good ID on your part!
Today was so chilly and windy that we didn't do any gardening. I cleaned house, husband went foraging at grocery stores, and then we settled in for a hot lunch and a restful afternoon.
Hoping you all had a restful day, or at least productive day!

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -4°C and sunny. It is going to be a beautiful day!
DD had a long visit with the chiropractor yesterday, and as it turns out she had a lot of 'issues'. She was adjusted and goes back next week for part 2.
At the rink last night she was having issues as well. She was very stiff and was having issues with balance on her spins. I think her body has to get used to the new normal again!
Curious how she will feel after a good nights sleep.
I'm going through my garden journal today, planning the rest of my garden and will figure out what seeds to plant when.
Yesterday, my new Felco's came in the mail, and UPS delivered my new cool stool for the greenhouse.
    It's almost spring! :smt026
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -4°C and overcast.
I had a good day yesterday, just kinda puttering around the yard. We got the wood shed cleaned up and the firepit area too.
Still cant get much done in my garden shed due to those tires stacked up in there, but I did move a few more pots to the greenhouse.
Dug out the shade cloth and fit to the greenhouse windows. All I need now is spring!
Have a great day all :)

Hi all, we've got spring weather and I'm outside all day to take advantage of the good weather. It might turn any day so every hour is precious. When I get back inside I'm nackered, so I end up in the sofa corner half asleep, trying to watch a film. I'll be back to chat up a storm when we get our usual rain-and-wind spring weather. Tadaaa!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -6°C and overcast.
Its been a lovely few days, but it looks like winter is coming back this weekend (darn it!)
Its Thursday again, so I'm off to do some errands and shopping.
Have a great day all :)

Darn, it's chilly again! At least the sun is out and we don't have to deal with grumpy cats.
I'm making a vat of chili, and husband planted carrots.
The hens are back from sabbatical and laying eggs again. They took most of the month of February off--just lazing around and eating, eating.
Hope you all have a warm, sunny day and plenty of eggs to enjoy!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -5°C and snowing.
We are off to the rink this morning for a little extra ice time. DD has been a little off balance since her adjustment.
Not sure what we'll do after that, maybe a little spring cleaning.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast.
Yesterdays weather was nasty ... strong winds, snow, and cold temperatures. Today it's going up just above freezing.
We are off to visit the grand kids today, and stop in at a few stores on the way. Farm supply is one of the stops, and I'm hoping to get a roll of fencing and some seeds (as if I need more seeds haha)
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Today is the first day of our annual "let's be stupid" experiment with daylight savings time. Only the government would think cutting the top off a blanket and sewing it onto the bottom would make a blanket longer. The hens weren't awake when we went out to feed them, and the cats are seriously upset--breakfast was in the dark!
I watered the peas, lettuce and spinach. The latter two are emerging, but it's a bit soon for the peas.
