Droopy, wish your husband a very happy birthday from me, and tell him he's a very lucky man! Hope you get your outing, and who cares what your "very religious neighbors" think if you want to garden a bit?
We had a "severe weather" warning last evening--high winds, hail, heavy rains, and possible tornadoes. We had wind, and a few sprinkles and that was it for us. Weather forecasters are gloomy gusses and scaremongers. Pah!
Today is windy again, and the garden got a good watering yesterday, so today I'm making a chicken pate and doing some household chores. I'm trying to talk my husband out of mowing. In this wind he'll come in looking like a Chia pet!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 11°C and raining.
I went back to work on Monday, and I was a little over eager I think. I got over 34,000 steps by the end of the day according to my FitBit, and 240 'zone minutes'. Yesterday I was moving mulch, so not as many steps, but today oh my aching back! Mother Nature helped my out today by giving me a rain day, so maybe I can take it a little easy today (but knowing me, I won't)
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 10°C and overcast with showers. My back feels better today.
Another rain day today, so I'm going to do my errands and shopping. Later, I want to start up-potting my tomatoes.
Oh and today is day 11 of 11 skating days in a row. Finally a break for Mom!
Have a great day all :)

    Good Friday morning all! Literally!
Currently 6°C and sunny. Finally a nice day, but that isn't going to last long as there is a special weather statement out for strong winds this afternoon.
I got a few varieties of tomatoes up-potted yesterday, but the lack of space inside stopped me. A few more cold nights and then hopefully I can start moving plants to my greenhouse.
Have a great day all :)

Good day to you all! It's coolish here (65 degrees) but no wind to speak of, so we have been outside having fun. The squash are planted, also the replacement cherry tomato, and what needed watering got water. Timi and Buddy the cats helped with the squash planting. Timi is fascinated by the watering can, and Buddy is my supervisor.
We pruned the apple tree this morning. A bit late, but with the winds we've been having trying to catch a branch before cutting it off isn't much fun.
Hope you all have a good weekend!

Beautiful day here with no clouds as we push up toward 80f. I have been trying to bed at least 30 or so plants when it is nice in the garden because of the weekly spring storms.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 1°C and sunny. The raging winds have finally calmed down.
Looks like yesterdays winds have cleaned out my back gardens haha Today, I will just have to trim down some of the old stalks and edge. And start weeding!
I'm a little stressed out about where to buy soil for my raised beds. My regular place has shut down and I don't like the competitions soil. I'm going to have to research that today.
Have a great day all :)

Today was a busy day adjusting lights and situating tomaotes. They are eager for natural light but with -9 again this morning they will have to settle for the window. Brasica, herbs, onions, and most flowers are marched out the to greenhouse for a few hours the last few days. -2 outside and 15 inside, so it is good for everyone. My son is coming for dinner tomorrow and to spend the night before leaving for five months on a CoOp job between school years. Prepping for his favourites today and tomorrow morning. Very excited to spend time with him.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -1°C and windy.
It was a little cold on my dog walk this morning and I wasn't dressed well. I am not sitting at my computer with a blanket and a hot cup of coffee.
Seedlings are taking over my house. Seedlings everywhere! A couple more days and I should be able to move everything to the greenhouse.
We are heading to the rink this afternoon, but we may drop in to see the grandkids first and drop off some Easter goodies.
Have a great day all :)

I know what you mean with seedlings taking over the house. Hang in there, kid.

Good Monday to you all! Today is overcast and windy, so there won't be much outside work going on. The last of the herb seedlings are moving to the barn shelf today to start hardening off. Hear that, Netty? our house is seedling free!
I'm cleaning house while husband is out foraging for mulch, groceries, and heaven-knows-what that we can't get locally. It's always a surprise to open the bags and find what he has brought home. Nothing alive, yet:eek:.

Hi all! Spring is back. Currently 11°C, partly clouded, but nice. A lovely second Easter day for us. We've had one of these Easters I don't wish to have again. Mother-in-law got sick and had to go to the hospital for a thorough check-up. They did a lot of exams, kept her overnight, then couldn't do more because of Easter hols and short-staffed. Oldest and her new man drove up to stay one night with us. They needed to fetch my granddaughters (who were visiting their dad) because the oldest spiked a fever and wouldn't be allowed to fly. They took some tests but nobody could figure out what she had because the hospital was short of staff. She'll get a check-up at her doc's tomorrow I believe, if he's back from his Easter holiday. Husband's got an eye infection so he's pottering about wearing sunglasses inside the house, doing what he can. I went for a long bike ride to clear my head today. I needed it after all the unwanted events. Tomorrow is business as usual, and I can start gardening in earnest again. Have a good Monday.

Thanks @marlingardener! Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, but I've been slightly too busy to be online, lol.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -1°C and snowing. Looks like it snowed overnight too.
Had a great day at work yesterday, but today the snow has forced another day off. That's ok because I have lots to do around the house, and some errands to run.
One day maybe spring will stay, but for now I'm stuck with a house full of seedlings that want to be outside! Lucky you MG, for having a seedling free home!
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday to you all! I had the choice of cleaning the kitchen cabinets' doors and drawers, or chatting with y'all on the Stew. Congratulations, you won by a mile!
I did get some cleaning done since it's cold out (54 degrees, will winter never end?) and decided the weeding in the garden could wait until the weather warms up, which had better be soon:mad:.

Good afternoon to you all! I went into town to do my grocery shopping, and took two bags of fresh leaf lettuce mixed with spinach to the feed store. The guys there work such long hours and work so hard they just don't have time for vegetable gardening. Since I always overplant I'm happy to share the excess and they are happy to get it.
