Good Sunday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast. I hope it stays overcast all day as the temperatures are expected to be in the high 20's again today. We used to get spring temperatures before this heat came, and we gradually got used to the warmer temperatures. We jumped right to summer this year, and I am just not accustomed to it. The last few days working outside has been very hard on me! I am going to (try to) take it easier today, and ignore that pile of soil in my driveway. Thankfully we are at the rink this afternoon.
Off to pick up some groceries this morning - I was too hot and busy on my regular day during the week. I'll also check out the garden center.
Have a great day all :)

Sunday is like every other day of the week--something in the gardens needs watering! This morning I watered the green beans and moved the oreganos into bigger pots while husband watered the potatoes and garlic. This afternoon will be relax time, and then a nice dinner featuring our first picking of green beans.
Hope you all have a relaxing day to enjoy.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 12°C and raining. We needed rain badly, so I am happy to let Mother Nature do her job today.
I am actually very glad for a day off work ... I have been working WAY too hard and every part of me hurts lol
I may putter around in the greenhouse for a while. DD has 2 skating tests this afternoon.
Have a great day all :)

Went into town to do grocery shopping, with mixed results. No skin on, bone in chicken breasts, no Boston butt pork roasts. I spoke to the manager so next week may be better.
Husband finished mulching the path from the house to the workshop, and watered the herbs. Watering herbs really isn't his job, but he did it anyway. He's such a good man!

Good Wednesday afternoon all. Currently 14°C and overcast.
Its been a cool day, but good for working. I've been fighting goutweed all day! That stuff ready does get everywhere, doesn't it?!
Grilled some hamburgers for dinner and now we are heading to the rink.
I'll be glad to be home and lay in my bed ... I'm exhausted!
    Have a good evening all!

Good Thursday afternoon all. Currently 15°C and sunny. We had rain most of the day, now it has cleared and is lovely!
I got back to my routine today and did my errands and grocery shopping. Stopped at the greenhouse to pick up a few plants and this weekend I hope to get my gardens planted!
DD made pizza for dinner so I'm feeling a little spoiled. Went out and watered the greenhouse plants and now I'm relaxing and ready to hit the shower. One more work day and the weekend is mine :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 19°C and overcast.
I'm up bright and early to go do some plant shopping, and then its home for the weekend!
I hope to get all my gardens planted up this weekend, and hopefully even the veggie garden. Still some prep to do, so it may not happen. But I'm going to try my best!
Have a great day all :)

One of the nice things of a clear cool night ( -3 C) is that usually a bright sun welcomes the day. It looks lovely and blue out for the first time in a long time. I am planting some herbs in pots for my daughter who is coming to visit the first week of July. They should be settled and ready for gentle harvesting and transport by the time she comes. I'm excited that she is interested in gardening and now has her own little patio garden from the seeds that I sent her.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 14°C and overcast. Looks like rain today.
We had a lovely morning yesterday, and I was able to get most of my veggie garden planted. In the afternoon, the sky got very dark and I packed up quick and ran inside. We had a thunderstorm, with lots of rain which we really needed. Other places in Ontario had tornados, one of those towns being just 25 minutes from me. My daughter lost power at her house for several hours. We were very lucky here as we didn't lose any trees or our power. Some towns had snapped hydro towers, and one picture I saw online showed the steeple blown off the church. in that place - may have been in Ottawa. Yikes, mother nature shows us once again who is in charge!
Today I hope to get the back flower beds cleaned up and annuals planted. There is a lot to do out there, so it may take more than a day or 2.
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently just 7°C and sunny.
It went down to 3°C last night and I was out there last night trying to get things covered up. It never fails, that we get a cold night within 2 days of my starting to plant out the garden!
Despite my best efforts yesterday, I was only able to get one of the back beds weeded. It was the worst of the gardens, with grass and chinese lanterns running amok. I should be able to get the other 3 beds weeded and ready for annuals today. Hopefully I can get the annuals planted as well because this week looks rainy. I'll do my best!
Have a great day all :)

Nothing much going on Monday except house cleaning. Where does all the dust come from?
Didn't have to water anything in the gardens today since everything was still nicely damp from the previous rain. Rain is predicted for tomorrow, and if that happens, we will all be happy!

So glad you're OK @Netty. Hi all! We have a guest who wants to go sightseeing and help out here and there around the house and garden, and we've been busy socializing. She's staying until the end of June, so I'm going to have fun and play at being a tourist in my own part of the country. The garden is doing well even though it's failry wet at times. The weather's roller-coaster as always in May. Hoping for fairer weather before too long. Enjoy the day all!
