Good Easter Sunday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast.
We had a lovely family Turkey dinner yesterday. I just love when the family all comes together!
Today, just sticking around the house, maybe head outside later if the sun comes out.
Have a Happy Easter everyone :)

    Happy Easter Sunday!
We are planting zinnias today, and I'm trimming the herbs. My, that parsley grew! The basil is looking a bit puny, so it may get moved to a sunnier spot.
Have a restful day and, Daniel W, thaw out a burrito or two and enjoy!

Happy Easter Everyone. :) I had a wonderful, albeit early and too short of a visit with two of my children this morning. We had to leave at 6 am for the drive, but met them in the nearest town for breakfast at 8 am. My daughter has moved back to the little town from Alberta, and last week my Son flew to Alberta from Vancouver Island to help her pack and move her back to BC. He was driving to a city that has an airport right after breakfast to fly back home to the Island.

It was wonderful to see them and hug them - lots and lots. I'll be able to see my daughter more often now, hopefully once a month or so. Much better than once a year. And my son is coming home for a week in May so that is very exciting as well.

It was a great Easter Sunday. :)

@Daniel W - Angus is loving your Dog food recipe. The vet had me switch from Chicken to turkey and pork ( he thinks he may be chicken sensitive)...but Angus loves it all.

He suggested I make Yam dog chews for him, and he loves them! I also make medallion ones from smaller yams.

    Doggy chews.jpg

These bake for three hours at 250, then I keep them in a bag in the fridge. The medallions I keep in a quart sealer.

Melody Mc exciting news to have your daughter move closer. And very nice that your son will come for a visit soon.
Time goes by so fast , it’s great for the soul to have our children be close and visit . Sometimes I can’t believe how old my children are and they are spread out from Hawaii to Florida.

Sometimes gardening can take a toll I don’t bounce back as quickly as I used too. Now in my golden years gardening isn’t just putting on a pair of garden gloves and insect repellent. Now it’s adding back support, long sleeves , sun screen, knee sleeves, ankle wraps, good arch support work shoes and plan ahead by becoming more mindful of each daily activity outside . A protein shake is a must . And battery op tools light weight easier on the shoulders and wrists. When my kids come to visit they are so glad I have the garden to keep in shape. They are always encouraging , and at my age I can still out work most of them in the garden.

Yams are a fav for my dogs they will practically stand on their heads for one. Very good for them . I never thought about making them.
Could you share your recipe ? Would like to give it a try.

Good Monday evening all. Currently 7°C and sunny. It was a lovely day today, and I worked hard! I had my daily recommended steps of 10,000 done before my first break at 10am. Im just about to hit the shower and I'm just over 30,000 steps. I suspect that I am going to sleep well tonight! Rain/show in the forecast for the next couple of days and then back to nicer days after that. Stopped at my favorite garden center on my way home, and it was full of beautiful plants. I love spring!

Netty 30000 steps is a great way to end your day… I’m curious how many plants jumped in your cart at the nursery?

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 3°C and overcast with strong NE winds. We have a special weather statement in effect that earned me a day off work! I'm taking advantage of the day off and going to get an oil change in my car and catch up on some things.
Have a great day all :)
