Happy Tuesday. :) Today is a much needed break from the shenanigans that have been going on here. Now with the tree finally up, we have decided to have a down day. The wrapping of gifts will happen today, and there are some baguettes baking in the oven. I'm prepping and planning ahead for when all four kids and partners come home for the holidays. One last trip to the grocery store will be this Thursday. Then that will be it for town until after the New Year. It was - 10 C this morning. It's been very mild thus far.

The postal strike has been temporarily put on hold. Unfortunately not in time for Christmas cards or parcels to reach their destination. I have a list for phone calls and some e cards for those who have email, so I may work on that this afternoon. After I check on my neighbour and take her some lunch while her husband is away. :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 1°C. I have not idea what its doing outside as it is still completely dark out there!
I've had my shower and I'm working on a cup of coffee. Once it gets light outside I'll take Thunder out for his walk.
I had the winter vehicle in for service yesterday, oil change and brakes checked. Also had them put on new wipers and repair a rim leak in a tire. Now I feel confident that it will do us well in the bad weather this season. Quick trip to the German deli for some schnitzel and a few other items and then I was home for the day.
Today, a quick trip to the bank for the skating club, and I promised Thunder a walk in the park in town.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -3°C and windy.
Its Thursday, and that means its errand and shopping day. The only difference is that today my daughter is coming with me, and we are going to finish our Christmas shopping and grocery shopping. This kind of scares me as I always spend too much when I take someone shopping with me haha
I have already filled the car with all my donations for the second hand store so we will have to drop that stuff off first.
Poor Thunder will have to stay home alone.
Have a great day all :)

Busy day today, Netty. You will make someone happy with those donations.
Enjoy your shopping today. Maybe you ought to treat yourself to a cheeky little something nice. Something just for you.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -6°C and snowing lightly.
We had a successful shopping trip yesterday, and today I will wrap the last of the gifts. I fully expect to discover I've missed someone and have to dash out one last time.
I've finished fall cleanout on the main floor of the house. Today, I want to start upstairs in my craft room. This should be interesting as its turned into a cluttered storage room the past few months. I look forward to getting that, as well as the hall closet, done so that I can start the BIG job of the basement!
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -13°C and clear. This is the coldest it has been so far this season. We also got a dusting of snow overnight, so I hope it stays for a few days so we can say we had a white Christmas.
My desk drawer self destructed yesterday, and so I had to re-glue the dovetail joints and clamp it. By the time we get back from the rink I should be able to put everything back the way it was. But just now I noticed that there is a section of lights on the Christmas tree that isn't lit up, so I'll have to fix that too. Always something around here!

Netty— I guess what you get sorted now, you won’t have to do in the Spring. Great drawer repair.
I know what you mean about always something going on here. It all wears me out more than garden work.
Good luck with that white Christmas…have you been dreaming of one?
