    Good morning my friends it is a beautiful morning (5am) here in French Settlement. Our college football season started yesterday and alas I am a football addict.Cajun Belle is not but bless her soul she puts up with me. :) :oops:

    It is morning here too. I was hoping some of the rain that is floating around out west and north of here would head this way but it hasn't yet. But it is nice and overcast, that should keep the temps down to comfy.

    Heading to the Farmer's Market this morning after dropping Amanda off at the Anime Fest. My cucumbers were a resounding failure this year so I will have to buy them...we NEED sweet pickles and sweet relish, we are out. Of course there are several flower growers there too who sell plants, some sell herb plants too and almost all of my herbs died last month.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day.

    Good Morning/afternoon everyone - Looking like a pretty nice day here. Sun is shining. Temps and humidity have been lower the last couple days -- pleasant break. Still no rain -- just that rain they got while I was gone (guess I'll have to leave town again [​IMG] Have to leave for church shortly. Have a pleasant day and enjoy! [​IMG]

    We (Cajun Belle and I) just took a break from weeding, burning,and general grunt work in the yard , but alas the pool boy and gardener will not work on Labor Day. Beautiful morning' greetings from French Settlement

    Woooohoooo, it is raining again. Just a steady light rain but the gauge already has 1/2 inch (I think that converts to just a tad over 1 cm) and the system looks to be very widespread and will take a while to move away from us....like all day and into tonight.
    72 and wonderful.

    Good morning! My neighbor gave me some apples this morning so I made two raisin apple pies with crumb crust on top. I'll keep one for DR and divide the other between two of my neighbors. It rained here last night but it is sunny here now. Maybe more rain tonight. Dooley

    Good Morning Everyone -- Cloudy here this morning and had a few sprinkles. We did get some rain last evening. Have to go to a funeral today. A friend's husband died this past weekend. Have a nice day.

    Good morning everyone. We had rain all day yesterday and I mean ALL day yesterday. Nothing heavy, but it was slow and steady which meant it soaked into the ground instead of just running off. My very large rain gauge out back shows we got just over 3/4 inch.

    On my agenda today.....step 2 of the sweet pickles and I have two pumpkins to cook and freeze for future pies.

    It is overcast and cool here this morning. Rain is predicted so maybe we'll get a shower or two. Our son Chris is visiting from Ohio so hope the days are nice for him.
