The Good Day All Thread

Good morning! Sunny and hot again today. I guess I can stop saying warm when the temp hits 90. Then, it must be hot.The sun comes in those big windows at the library and it gets hot in the stacks. I think I'll get my hair cut or do it myself. Doctor's appt. this afternoon to get the thyroid problem sorted out. Hopefully, anyway. Dooley

 

Hubby saves baby bird

Good afternoon, been too busy this morn. to stop by here, had to mow lawn and all the extra's that go along with yard work, but for the last several day's at least, hubby and I have encountered mocking birds, seeming to be scolding us at every turn, following us, I mentioned to hubby yesterday he/she seems to be trying to tell us something, today I saw a nest in our one arborvitae, but after I came in, hubby went out to trim etc. and this bird really got his attention, and seemed to be saying follow me, so he did...here her baby was trapped in our recycle bin, hubby immediately carefully released it, it scampered under a bush, with mamma right behind, food in her beak, the baby appeared very hungry..hubby is the hero of the day in our yard...baby appeared unhurt but was flopping around in the bin and could have hurt itself. I did not get pics. because he told me after the event was all over.

Good Morning/afternoon everyone -- cooler temps here this morning....43 and sunny when I walked earlier, which made it very pleasant. Not going to be as hot today. We did manage to get a little rain yesterday but still need a lot more. Have a nice day.

It's a balmy 43 degrees and we'll see cloud cover all day long....BUT my husbands on his days off so we get to do something together as a family.

Good morning! Cool here this morning but it won't stay that way. Rain last night but not here. We drove through it going up to work. I have a meeting from 9 to 10. Then off to let the vampires take a little? blood. I wonder what they do with all that blood. Seems like a lot more than they need for a simple blood test. Then the truck needs serviced. Probably lunch somewhere along the line since the truck appointment isn't until 1:30. It's my day off too. Dooley
