    Hello from New Orleans

Looks like it might rain today. We need it having been several days with nothing but a few spits here and there. I am hoping the most difficult thing I do today is read the paper....oh, I forgot, there is writing blogs and articles for various web sites.

It is a nice day outside, but I am not going outside today so I will take the word of others in regards to that bit of info.

    May be some rain tomorrow.

My agenda today includes such things as piddling around enough with whatever strikes my fancy so as to make it appear to others like I am busy and therefore should be left undisturbed, throwing old bread out for the birds and playing on the computer.

I just had to complain about our lack of rain. We are now in the middle of a New Orleans gully washer. Sounds like a cow peeing a flat rock.

Where did this weekend go?? Busy busy busy as usual, but did pop to the allotment to show the clan the pumpkin patch, cleaned out our 3 aquariums, got lots of washing done and dried...ironing tonight - YUCK, went to a car boot sale and my darling brought me a petrol mower for the allotment to cut the paths, for the bargain price of £10, and I helped the kids with their homework. The sun has shone beeeeutifully all weekend so we even managed to squeeze in a barby lunch. Back to the grind tomorrow - am having my hair cut short! ooer

Good morning / afternoon all on the 11th September. For our US visitors it is not a nice date I know.

The weather is great here in Malmö, hard to believe it is September and not July again. It won't last though

Good morning, everyone. This is a day where every thinking human remembers where they were and what they were doing. It's like the day Kennedy was shot or when the Challenger blew up or Katrina hit.

It's still raining in New Orleans, but it does that most every day.

Good Morning all. Sad rememberances to be sure. It is a nice mild morning in French Settlement. No rain here, stormed in Gonzales yesterday, about 18 miles from us. The sprinklers are going trying to keep things alive.

Good morning! It is sunny and cool here this morning. DR said it was 50 when he got up. Lots to do today plus it's another work day. Dooley

Not much cool weather here for the next week at least, not even any rain :'(

Watered plants out back, sat under the hackberry tree making notes for changes in the beds this fall. Now it is time for laundry, dishes and making another attempt to conquer that possible future pile of kindling now known as a spinning wheel.

When you are posting recipes, don't forget there is a vegan around.

If you have some really good vegan recipes, please post them in the Recipes and Cooking forum too.

There may not be other true vegans in the group, but I for one would like to try something different once in a while.

I have no real recipes. I just use lots of brown rice, lots of beans and other veggies. Oh and tofu.
