Welcome home Tom, hope the grandkid-withdrawals don't get too bad!
it's 47 and lightly overcast. Gonna hit a couple of garage sales then off to town to the dentist (nothing major, and the dentist is right next to my favorite espresso place!)

A very good afternoon all. Sunny day here but still a little nip in the air. The Malmö Festival is taking place here all week long. It's a great annual event with lots of free events going on everywhere. Took a trip to a film tent last night where they show slightly 'arty' and not so arty movies all week long. Currently playing was 'A Scanner Darkly', very interesting movie, looks spectacular. Recommended :)

Good Saturday morning all. It was a chilly 9°C this morning, a nasty reminder that fall will soon be here!
We had a nasty wind storm yesterday and most of my plants are really suffering this morning. I hope I can perk them back up...I wanted to enter a few of my plants in the fair next month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Have a great day all :)

Good Morning from the North Woods. Overnight low last night of 39°. It's 55° now, going up to 67° for a high today. Bright and sunny, and the wind has calmed today. Our kids are driving up later today, from the city. This will be Connor's first visit to the lake. It's going to be a fine week.

Morning all...very warm and very muggy today. Still remnants of Tropical Storm Erin around that might give us rain late in the day. As of today, Hurricane Dean looks to be heading for deep south Texas/far northern Mexico, but being 5 days away from landfall it's path can change probably several times before then. But the Texas gulf coast is making evacuation plans anyway.

Being the closest large cities to Houston that will be out of the direct path, Dallas and Fort Worth and smaller cities in the area, are gearing up with supplies and facilities to house the evacuees that would be sent up here.

toni, my thoughts are with you!

12 C, lots of wind, lots of rain, and the geese have been flying south for two weeks now.

Good good afternoon all Stewbies. Bright and shiny here in Malmö but temperatures are definitely starting to chill off a bit, most notably at night.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently just 10°C here, but sunny and calm. I'm sure noticing the temperature changes at night too! The calmness is sure welcoming this morning after 3 days of strong winds. My plants are wind whipped to say the least!
Still no rain in the forecast, things are looking really bleak. I can't remember an August this dry.
    Have a great day everyone.

Morning all. We are going back to the typical hot and dry August weather we all know and ????love????

Hurricane Dean will totally avoid Texas this week, his path is now straight across the Yucatan Peninsula as a Cat 5 and after crossing so much land there, he will go into the mid section of Mexico as a Cat 1.

Good Morning everyone -- 77 and quite muggy when I walked this morning. We actually have gotten out of the 3-digit temps for a couple days. Only going to be 97 today--still a bit hot, and I'm afraid they are predicting a couple more days in the 100's this week. Hope we get some showers soon--so very dry. Heard some thunder last night but not a drop here. Have a good Monday.

Good morning! The showers have been going around us all summer. We only got a bit of rain a couple of times. Enough to make the weeds grow. I watered things again this morning. Lots of grasshoppers now. dooley

Good morning! 57 and driving rain up my way, there goes the mowing plans for the day. Glad to hear Dean won't be paying Tx a visit, hope it doesn't damage Mexico too much. Just read Franks post about the festival, sounds terriffic! Seems most places round here charge you to get into an event where everything is, ta-daa, charged for! Kinda nutty, kinda elitist.
