Today looks fine! 16 deg C, overcast, but dry. Thankfully. The sun will probably dissolve the clouds in a couple of hours, and then it will be perfect!

I'll do some weeding and clipping, and then I'll seat myself underneath the plum tree, eat plums and enjoy life.

Gooood afternoon all Stewbies. Intermittent showers here and looks like no change for the week.

Morning all. With no more threat from Hurricane Dean we are back into the hot and dry phase of the year :'(

Had the grandsons for one last overnight stay before school starts next Monday. We will have them again but not for a while with all the school and boy scout activities getting started again.

Good morning! A sunny, hot day for today. I got up and stuck my blueberry pie in the oven. Turned on all the fans and opened up the windows. dr says it's a tart not a pie because I fold up the edges instead of putting on a second crust. It saves on carbs, etc. Chance is sitting there smelling it. Little does she know she isn't getting any. Received some pics of the new grandson. Will try to post them later today. dooley

64 and misty. I get to do battle with fleas today, never seen anything like the plague of them that my doggie is battling! I think I'll shear him down to make combing easier, and find a source for pennyroyal essential oil to mist around here & drop on him. Poor little guy!

We used to sell pennyroyal at our herb and spice business in Wisconsin. Most of it was used for flea control. I couldn't even measure it out of the jar into a bag. Instant allergy headaches and all. I hope you doggie is doing better now. Our dog has been scratching but I'm more inclined to go with dry skin than fleas. We'll see! dooley

A very good afternoon all. Was just about to go to bed last night and a wasp flew in through the window. It took me about 20 minuets to usher him out (I literally can't hurt a fly). No way was I going to sleep knowing the yellow and black critter was hiding somewhere

Good Morning all -- still hot and muggy here. Going to be in the 100's again today but who could really tell the difference when it was 99 yesterday
--guess it just sounds better. We are bone dry and no rain in the forecast.

Good Morning from the North Woods, foggy this morning, with the sun trying to break through now. 67° going up to mid 70s. It rained, or rather, drizzled yesterday, some help to the dry woods. We have a house full of sick people, colds going around, Mimi is the only one feeling normal. Have a wonderful day.

64 and clearing here. Had to put my new charger (a birthday present from Mom) on the battery, now it's growling to get started on those oh-so-invasive dandelions. Oh! And when I was putting my goat back in early this morning (grump) I spotted the first male cricket of the season! It'll be a chorus within the next two weeks!

Good morning.! It's hot and dry here. I need to water but since the sun is high and I work this evening, it will have to wait until morning. I did water some plants in pots when I did the dishes this morning. I cleaned the kitchen and the linen closet this morning. Now, it's post office time. Have a good day! I could put chicken in the nesco, but I haven't any chicken. dooley

Top of the morning to all! Currently 68F with a few clouds, should get up to the lower 80's later.
Yesterday evening Rob and I ventured to a beautiful creek up in the hills. We collected stones for a footpath, and were perhaps a little overzealous about it. I've got a few hours of lifting and meticulously placing for optimum watering/non-grass-ruining pleasure!

It's foggy and 15 deg C today. Perfect weather for a nice, brisk ride before weeding. The geese are flying south, and the Admiral butterflies have arrived. It's definately turning towards autumn.
