Gooood morning / afternoon all on this wet and dull Irish day. I can't for the life of me remember the day of the week, everything is a little jumbled up. Preparations are afoot for my grandmother's surprise birthday party on the 30th. She is 80!

    Current temps: 9 deg C / 48 deg F

    Hope you enjoy the day.

Good Morning from the city, we are heading home today, back to the north woods. An inch or 2 of new snow fell over night, but certainly not enough the stop the trip home. 32 F (0 C) this morning, going up to the mid 40s. Just had the car washed, so it'll be a sloppy trip, I'm betting. We had a wonderful time here, but can't wait to get back to the lake. Jo Ann & Erich worked hard to make Christmas a fun time at their house, and it was.

Good morning all. Randy says I sound better than I did yesterday but I am not sure I feel better.
In my original after the holidays plans, today was to be a working in the garden day no matter what the temperature but I think I had better wait until maybe next week now.

I think I will curl up in my recliner with a book or my knitting and watch first season of South Park DVD's Lisa gave us for christmas.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -3°C and overcast. Gee, it's been a long time since we saw any sunshine! I hope we get some soon.
Nothing planned for today...probably just some housework.
Have a great day all :)

A very good morning / afternoon all on another wet, dull and not very Xmassy-looking Irish day. Just relaxing now in the lull days between Xmas day and New Year's Eve / Day. Roll on 2008!

    Current temps: 9 deg C / 48 deg F

    Have a marvelous Friday!

Good afternoon. Just one of those lazy dayz. A bit windy and cold out this morning. Think I'll go shopping and use my gift card that I also received for Christmas-this will be so much fun. Maybe I'll look for a new plant. Have a good day.

Good morning. I think. Need more coffee.

After nearly a week of mild weather with lots of wind and rain, it looks like clearing up now. Today is about 2 deg C - 36 deg F and dry, so far. A good day for clearing out some very dirty paddocks.

Editing to say it's slushing outside. :'(

G'morning all on this blue-skyed (so far) Irish day. It made a lot of rain and was tremendously windy yesterday , hope it can stay dry until the year is out.

    Current temps: 7 deg C / 45 deg F

Is today Saturday? Oh look it is. Have a good one ;)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 1°C with gusting west winds. The snowstorm promised to us last night seems to have missed us.
I saw the strangest thing yesterday afternoon. There was a fat skunk crossing the field in the deep snow. It was quite a sight! After I put the dog inside, I made sure that he wasn't heading to anywhere in MY yard and he disappeared into the forest. Boomer and I have met a skunk before - what a stink!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! It's still cold here. I haven't been outside. I have to go to work in a few minutes. We have made soup for the slow cooker, made cornmeal for breakfast and a sandwich for my lunch. We had to brown the meat before we put it in with the vegetables. Oops! I think I forgot to give dr the tomatoes. Oh, well, I'll add them later when I get home from work. I hope it warms up some today. yesterday, while we were gone our outside water faucet blew it's top. Good thing we have nosy neighbors and they came to see what the noise was. He shut the water off at the street and left a note on our gate. It's capped off until spring now. It has never frozen before so we forgot to worry about it. Our water lines are only 4-6 inches below ground so now I will worry about them. Have a good day. dooley

Good morning from the Snowy North Woods. Friends here say that it snowed most every day we were gone, and I believe it. 12 F (-11 C) this morning. Must be two feet of the white stuff on the ground here. Hazy clouds and large patches of blue, and the wind is still. It's good to be home.

Good morning all. Started at freezing this morning going to mid-50's later.

Today I am hoping to go shopping for my flatscreen monitor. We need, and I mean really need, to go back to our favorite thrift store and hopefully the bench and planter I was idiot enough to pass by yesterday will still be there. Then one of my favorite yarn shops is having an inventory clearance sale....I need more yarn just like I need more junque.
