Goooooooood morning all. We had rain last night, a good loud and flashy thunder and lightning storm. Went to bed wondering if the weatherman's promise would come true and sure enough at some point we were both levitated off the bed a couple of inches by the loudest crack of thunder we have heard in a long time.
The rain gauge out back is holding 1.25 inches/3.2 centimeters, of rain and the air is crisp from the cold front that moved thru after the storms.

First decent rain we have had since early December. Still under a state wide wildfire threat and will be until normal rainfall amounts return.

Great news about your rain Toni! It's supposed to hit almost 50 today, which is interesting because I can still see lot's of snow on Capitol peak- guess the freezing level isn't rising much. Interesting. Supposed to cloud up and rain today... right about the time I have to be outside for the long recess... poo.

Good Morning. Still cold here, 19. Light snow and wintery mix sometime today. I think it is just cold anymore and I should just quit looking at the temperature. Wannabe

A very good morning / afternoon all at GardenStew. My Swedish lecturer is sick today so I'm off study for the day. It's like getting a day off school when younger :)

    Current temps: 4 deg C / 39 deg F

    Wednesday greetings!

Good morning to all the Stewbies.
A lovely day here and I did all my morning chores, including the running, swimming and playing with the dogs. All that I must still do is cooking, fecthing my daughter from school and of course stewing.
Temperature is 33 degrees Celsius. Phew. But I am 8) with it. I refuse to complain.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -10°C with a bit of sun peeking thru. We got another 10cm of snow last night. Will it ever end?
Have a great day all :)

    Morning to all.
Netty: I've been asking myself that same question. We also got some snow over nite. 10 degrF at the moment, but rising. The sun is shining today. They say more snow is coming Thursday. Have a good day.

Good morning all. Bright and sunny but the weekend is looking more promising ;)

The second of the gardening lectures is today. This one is on Shade Gardening. I have two very shady areas on the north side of the house under large Pecan trees that I am gathering plants for, so this class will be very helpful.

Good morning! Ha! Wannabe it is warm here today. We did have the door open but closed it so we could make a fire and take the damp out of the house. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 51 and rainy but then warm up again into the upper 60's by Sunday. It's warmer down in Phoenix. It does start warming up here by the middle of February and by March will be consistently in the 60's and 70's here and 80's down in Phoenix. Hope to see you soon. dooley

Of all days I'm off to the dentist bright an early. My daughter needs people to practice on. She's in college to be a dental hygenist. Have a wonderful day.

A Happy Valentines Day to all Stewbies.

We had a lovely day (it was almost as if mother nature played with) the whole of this morning was wonderfully cool and all I wanted to do was be outside. Alas it was too good to last and the cloud cover lifted and the heat hit us yet again. Now it is a whopping 32 degrees Celsius outside.
Hope eveyone had a great day.
