I saw this story on our mid-day TV news. It's very worrying. I do my bit to encourage these dear little birds and must admit that we do have quite a few visiting our feeders which is a good thing.

Good morning from the snowy North Woods. Gray skies, and light snow falling, and the TV folks are saying it will continue for several days. Possibly 6 more inches. They call it lake effect, as we are in the edge of the Lake Superior snow belt. We are going to see "Arsenic and Old Lace" at the local High School tonight.

Good morning! It's sunny here and rather nice. Lots to do today. I made cranberry orange muffins for breakfast. Got to use up stuff so we don't have to carry it to Texas. Have a good day. dooley

Good morning. I'm only saying that to be corteous. It's white, cold, windy and we've got a storm named "Vera" on the way. I'm not budging from inside today, bar to run a couple of errands.

Temps are -1C/30F outside and 22C/72F inside.

Both cats are on the bathroom floor, and I just got a severe telling-off by a robin who thought I was very late with serving breakfast.

    Enjoy your Friday!

Good Morning. It is cold, 32, but it is sunny and not going to warm up much. I don't plan on going out until late afternoon so maybe I'll adjust by then. You all have a nice day. Wannabe

A very good morning / afternoon all. Guess what, we have SNOW. It's very light but it's still snow. Not enough to build a snowman yet :)

Good morning all. We've got 0 C/ 32 F and a bit of snow outside. Last evening the power went on and off about five times, and we've got some serious shoveling to do.

I'm off to learn more about horse and carriage-driving, and will be doing that for the entire week-end.

    Enjoy yourselves, see you later.

G'morning all at GardenStew. We got a few more snow falls yesterday and this morning there is a white blanket on everything. Looks very pretty indeed.

By the way here is a follow up link to the link I posted about dwindling sparrow numbers in the UK:

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and sunny. I hope the sun will melt this snow. It's my daughters birthday today and tomorrow we will have family over to celebrate.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Overcast and cool so far this morning.
Since most of last week was so busy I had planned on letting myself play on the computer, hang around GS as much as I wanted, especially with the new My Garden feature to play with.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -1°C and very dark and dreary outside. I guess we will get some snow or rain today.
Today I will do some housework and then start a Christmas shopping list. It really isn't all that far away!
Have a great day all :)
