Good morning, it's Sunday! The sky is clear, and even though it won't be light for another couple of hours, I think we'll have a lovely day today.

Temps are 1C/34F, but no wind.

We're doing the Christmas show today, and the girls are very excited. I see that Greece has our snow now. :D

G'morning / afternoon to one and all. Xmas is coming to a close but there is still fun to be had. Just had the second of two very frosty nights with sub-zero temperatures. At a glance you would think there was a covering of snow outside in the mornings.

    Current temps: 5 deg C / 41 deg F - Clear Skies

    Have a fine Sunday!

Good Monday morning all. Currently -1°C and sunny...what a nice change!
I've already been outside for hours cleaning up the yard from yesterdays high winds. My trellis even blew over, but I didn't stand it back up yet. That is a 2 person job and they are calling for wind gusts up to 80 km/hour tonight. I will deal with the trellis in the morning. I will have to replace the bird feeder that was attached to it too. I found it in 4 pieces :(
    Have a great day all.

Good morning all. Sunny, warmish and DRY again today.

Netty, we have been having high winds too, almost daily for the last 3 months. The strongest lately on Saturday of 40mph(64km/hr) with gusts up to 60mph(96km/hr) It has been still for a couple of days now which feels so strange.

    Good Morning all;
We're still seeing rain and clouds in the 60's. I do so miss the sun. If we get this rain in spring, we'll be in good shape.

    Good morning everyone,

Its cold and blustery here too, and snowing as well, we had the same high winds and were without power for a little over 30 hours, 4 doors down, a neighbors 2 HUGE pine trees came down Sunday morning in the wind and took out everything and we just got power back around 4pm yesturday......thankfully we have gas heat, so we were ok warmth wise, and as for the food, i put it into Rubbermaid totes and set them outside my back door, so we didnt lose anything.

Good morning / afternoon to one and all. 2 days and counting! 2008 went really quickly, my guess is that 2009 will go just as fast. I guess it's just what happens as one gets older :stew1:

    Current temps: 8 deg C / 46 deg F - Broken Clouds

    Have a terrific Tuesday!

    Good morning all.
I like your new look Frank, very happy go lucky.

I actually worked in the yard yesterday, cleaned up the front bed I made last spring. Today I think I will trim down the shrub roses and spread some of the fallen leaves in that bed for mulch/composting.

Just testing Toni, back to the old one now. I may hold a poll to decide a 2009 avatar. Would that be fun?

Good morning, though it may be afternoon by now. We have been keeping ourselves busy this past month. Frank, if you think years are passing quickly for you, try being my age. I'll be 68 on Friday. Time sure flies when you are having fun. dooley

I was worried about you Penny! We have had such nasty weather this month. I guess you are like us now...ready for anything with plenty of food, water and a generator to keep things going. I was lucky and didn't lose power but a friend of mine just the next concession over had no power for about 30 hours.

Good morning on this New Year's Eve, we've got 5C/41F, a bit of wind and rain, but nothing serious. Up north where Biita lives they've had hurricanes.

We're going to my sister-in-law's house this evening, to eat ourselves silly on turkey and put up fireworks around midnight. Enjoy your celebrations, all.
