I feel for the Texas folks...stay cool, friends! It's been hot early here and I'm not sure I'm ready for the rest of the summer... though with soooo much rain we haven't had to water. Now the mosquitos are rampant. Come on birds!!

We had the biggest thunderstorm I've seen in a long time at 2 a.m. Today my work-friends and I are going to lunch at a lovely museum to celebrate end-of-school-year.

Good morning all. Got up early to water some ground so I can get more of the grass dug up in the newest fence area. Gotta get out there before the sun rises about the rooftop....the front yard is on the west side of the house.
Also have two new ideas for the front yard....well one is new but the other is an idea I had originally for the front then changed my mind. I have got to remember that the original ideas are usually the best.

Thought I would not mention the heat we are in for again and maybe it would go away for lack of attention.

Toni, I know what you mean about mentioning the (heat...). Seems like it just makes it (hotter). Sometimes in the summer I get so tired of complaining about the heat I have to find other ways of saying HOT... like "wow, it is really not cool today..." The things we do, right?

Good morning all. Looks like it's going to be a sunny and nice day here, without the very high temps.

Currently 13C/55F but it's rising steadily. I'm hoping to get some gardening done today, but I'm struggling with an uncooperative hip.

    Enjoy your Wednesday.

Well, it finally happened. I have been nervously watching the rain overflow my gutters because I suspect some of my downspouts are clogged with dirt... and the old undergrounds drains are shot... so the heavy rain we've had all month has caused water in one part of my basement. I can't say it is a surprise. The contractor-dude will have to replace my downspouts immediately. Not sure about my drains. Oh well. It must be done.

Good morning all. 99 degrees yesterday, probably 100 today. At least yesterday morning was kinda comfy out in the front yard so I got more digging up done and some plants in the ground.
Not today cause I just don't want to.

Daisybeans, last summer I used a Thesaurus to find new words for hot to use in the GM thread when I got tired of whining about it. I have a feeling that come August I will be sitting here with the central AC down on 'popsicle', watching movies like White Christmas, Frosty the Snowman and maybe even Dr. Zhivago because almost all of that one is set in winter.

Good Morning. It is sunny and already 80 this morning so I guess we are in for a warm spell.Maybe it will dry out a little so the farmers can get their soybeans planted. Not to much to do today but I guess I better get it done. Enjoy your day. Wannabe

Good morning, it's very windy, very grey but not very cold today. 15C/59F and probably very wet later.

Enjoy the Thursday, have fun. :stew2:

Good morning from the great north woods of Wisconsin. Mimi and I went to town today, had breakfast with our breakfast group, and on to do some shopping. She loved getting out of the house, although it tired her, and she is napping now.

Good morning, a sunny Friday in the making here. :D

We've got all of 12C/54F but it will be warmer later on.

I'm off to the stables, despite it being Friday, so I'm guessing not much gardening for me today.

    Have a lovely day!
