    Good morning all. Actually very overcast today as some storms move from west to east along the Red River about an hour north of us. Not much chance of us getting anything but I am certainly enjoying the respite from the blazing sun. Yesterday was 103 again with a feels like temp of 108 so today's clouds are special treat. I do hear thunder rumbles but nothing close to us showing on the radar yet.

    We take our youngest to the airport at noon for her 2:30 flight to California. Don't know which of us is more nervous about this trip...her because this is her first trip that far away from home without family for two weeks.....or me because of the same reasons.

    Good morning all. We had a fabulous thunder storm last night, so I had to get off-line quickly. It was spectacular. The thunder was so hard it shook the ground. :D We rarely get very big, long lasting thunderstorms here, since it's rarely hot enough for them. :D

    And it rained, of course, but not much.

    I hope you'll manage to relax a bit while your "baby" is on holiday, toni.

    Temps are 20C/68F now, so it will be hot. Not good to drive in.

    Heading to the mid 80s (F) with a thunderstorm expected later in the afternoon so summer is back to normal weather-wise.

    I am enjoying my morning coffee and Gardenstew. My summer schedule is much less stressful than during the rest of the year. Long weekend this weekend.

    My downspouts are clean -- contractor-dude worked on them all day yesterday. :stew1:

    Good morning all. Appears our temps will stay below 100 for most of this week...only 95-99 whoooppiiieee.

    We are outta here for a while. Our youngest is in California for two weeks, Randy took vacation this week so we will be gone until Thurs night/Friday morning. Will have pictures and possibly more garden junque when we return.

    Glad to hear the Texans had a little "cold snap" to 95 yesterday ... yikes. It rained last night and I was happy to have my new gutter and downspout.

    I don't wanna go to work today... I'm too sleepy. :(

    Its cloudy and looking like rain here, but WOW, has everything shot up in the past couple days though!!

    Its Canada Day here, so hopefully the rain holds off and we have our fireworks tonight.

    Good morning everyone,

    Its raining here, but the temperature is nice.

    We had rain off and on yesturday too, but we did manage to get the grass cut and all the trimming done, and i weeded all the beds, and cut all the sucker branches off my tomato plants, nice to have it all done.

    I hope our Canadian friends had a fun Cananda Day and good weather for the fireworks.
    After today, I am OFF for four days... that is nice. Fourth of July is Saturday.
    Nice cool morning, rained again last night. Gutters and downspouts working great!

    Good morning! Cool weather (95 - 98 degs) didn't last long. It's back over 100 again. It rained around us. We could hear thunder but we only got drops. I was up and watered everything this morning. Yesterday was a shopping day. Today is a laundry day. Have a nice one. dooley

    A very good morning / afternoon all :) There is nothing one can do here but sweat! There is pretty much zero wind so the warmth is hanging in the air making things very uncomfortable. Is a gentle breeze too much to ask for?

    Good morning everyone,

    Its overcast here and a bit cooler then its been in awhile, but thats ok with me.

    Its supposed to be cooler all weekend here, in the mid 60's until Monday and then back into the heat.
    If its not raining later, i'll go out and deadhead all the plants, and maybe fertilize them.

    Its cool and overcast here, feels more like Fall at the moment.

    Its not raining but it looks like its going too, again.

    Have some errands to do and get a few things at the grocery store, so have a great day everyone.
