Muggy, muggy, muggy. Feels perfectly tropical!

Some kind of way, I need to get my grass mowed -- maybe tonight after work. Then I will spend some time looking at GS pics! I see Droopy has posted lots in two blogs! I have a few to post too.

    Everyone have a wonderful day.

Good morning all. Yesterday was one of the most glorious days we have had in ages. It rained almost all day, a nice steady rain that soaked into the parched ground there was a little lightening to stir up the nitrogen for the plants too.
My yard received 1.625 inches (4.13 centimeters) of rain.

But as they say, all good things must come to an end...the sun is back today.

Good morning all. It's sunny here today, but extremely muggy as always during the summer. Still waiting for that *perfect* weather to happen. We could really use some rain too...

Yesterday 91 (F) and 94% humidity. Showers and t-storms in the afternoons.

I feel like I'm growing gills!

I have NOT gotten my grass mowed YET because of t-storms!!! It's gonna be a BEAR when I get to it!

We are having a heat wave. Low of 68 and high of 101 degrees F. Seattle has never made it to 100 degrees in recorded weather history. It is supposed to make new records today. We'll see. Air conditioning is at the mall. Maybe I will take a trip there today to find some cool at the hottest part of the day.

Good morning all, no rain today but cloudy and muggy. I'll take cloudy and muggy over the 100+ temps of a couple of weeks ago.

Jewell, you all are going to be little puddles of water with the temps that high. Stay cool, those not used to it have a better chance of heat related illnesses than us down here. Drink lots of water and stay inside somewhere cool.

Good morning. Looks like we're going to have a nice, sunny day here today. Temps so far are 17C/63F and rising. The smell of sea is very strong today.

And we've got a couple of summer "guests" again this year. Two young cats. One probably goes home during night but the other one stays put. *sigh*

Good morning to all. Toni took your advice and stayed cool. Our record breaking temperatures yesterday were some how tolerable (104 degrees F.) of course we weren't moving much :) and the humidity was down from previously. We are supposed to have a cool 95 degrees today. Starting off skys clear as a bell and the juvenile towhee making his noise.

Good morning all. We got hammered by a thunder/lightening/rain storm early this morning. Two inches in the rain gauge and several plants laying on the ground this morning. Looks like we might have a lot of repair work to do on our Gazebo covering too, the support poles have come apart and some appear to be bent.

Dooley, Glenda and Gaylyn are either getting some of the storm now or soon will be.

Jewell, the humidity being lower had a lot to do with how you got thru the heat yesterday. Hopefully you don't have any more of those days in the forecast.

i feel for you jewel, on the coast and the heat. amazing temps! i see Portland's going through a similar heatwave.

toni, so sorry about all your plants and damage. we have had a few thunderboomers come through here, but luckily no damage was done.

Whew, lots of unusual weather going on ! Jewell, I imagine that heat feels quite shocking when you're so unaccustomed to it.... take it easy.

Glad to hear of some rain for the Texans!

Not much going on here... I've lost three squash plants to powdery mildew... bummer. I had never seen that before...

    TGIF...

At 9am it is a cool 60 degrees with marine influences. The heat wave is over and this usual temp feels a bit cool after the last week of 90 degree plus weather. Got to get out and pick blueberries and squash. Got in a nice batch of beans and peas yesterday. Tomatoes are slow, but there. Sorry about the powdery mildew Daisybeans. Sounds like your weather has changed a lot this summer.
