Going up to low 90s again today. Humidity is in the low 90s too. Really muggy. But guess what? Cool air supposed to move in this evening -- I heard it could be in the 70s!! That will be a nice treat. Working today but off tomorrow to do some yard stuff.

Having two new figs for breakfast!

    Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all. 98 again today with a heat index hovering between 100-104.
It seems that our really hot summer temps might be going on hiatus for a week or so. There is supposed to be a cool front move thru early tomorrow morning dropping the temps down by 5-8 degrees. Now that doesn't seem like much but early morning temps going down from 80 to 72 means I will get 3 or 4 hours of playing in the dirt each morning. And afternoon highs being 91 instead of 99 means I won't be standing at the front door watching my plants having heat strokes.
Now a little rain added to that would be great.

Good morning and great day to all. Marine influences this AM. 77 F/25 C this PM with lots of sun. Nice and just right. Will try and finish the hedges. Lots of great green mulch for the garden. :)

    Good morning everyone,

Its another nice day here, around 85 and a bit of a breeze.

We had wicked weather go through here around 5:30-6pm lastnight and we have numerous reports of tornadoes coming through my area, in fact one touched down about 10 minutes from here and did major damage to a private ski club and ripped up trees at a local apple orchard, flipped cars over

A very good morning / afternoon to you all. It's overcast here but still quite warm. I was supervising English exams today at the university, relaxing work but can get quite boring :)

    Current temperatures: 18 deg C / 64 deg F

    Have a great Friday!

Good morning all and a very good morning it is. Only 70 degrees outside to start with and rain early this morning...almost 1.5 inches in the really large rain gauge outback. And with all the lightening happening during the storm the plants ought to grow several inches in the next few days.

First day of really comfy morning temps and I can't get out to play in the dirt because the dirt is now slippery, gooey, liquid black clay....but hey we got rain and that is the best part. These mornings should hang around for at least the next week!!

The cool front stalled so it is still hot and m u g g y .... "It's not the heat, hon, it's the HUMIDITY..." That's a saying around here.... The "hon" part is pure Baltimore.

I'm having a hard time wanting to work outside. I don't want to wish away summer though....

    Everyone have a good day.

Woke up to a "fine" day. Fine misty rain is keeping me indoors as I readjust. Tomatoes have their rain tent/protection so all is well. :)

HUGE thunder and lightning storms through the night but still hot and muggy today. Feels like the tropics. Oh well. I have a friend coming over to help me in the garden. He's a "non-gardener" but he's strong, makes me laugh, and follows directions (I mean that in the nicest way possible) so I am greatly appreciative. I have good friends.

I hope to have more time to spend on GS later on. there are a few posts that I want to respond to with more thought.

Another "fine" day of morning drizzles. Need to get my webbed feet back and get into the garden. Will enjoy another cup of coffee instead. Last week-end before my "school work" starts so am torn between razzed and shocked neutral. Summer is official over for me Monday. :stew1:

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 16°C with light rain falling. I need a rainy day to clean house lol
We went back to school shopping yesterday and I told the kids I wasn't leaving the property today. It's my only day off!
    Have a great day all.

I had a great day yesterday.... I am sooooo thankful for my friend who lent me his back and helped me dig out a bunch of old mimosa roots from one of my iris beds. We got it dug up. Today I'll amend the soil and replant the iris.

Hello from the North Woods of Wisconsin. 70s and sunny today, mid 30s last night. The steam coming from the lake as the sun rose this morning was so thick, I couldn't see across the lake. There goes all the nice warm water, the swimming from here on will be an adventure.
