The Good Day All Thread

Good morning everyone,

We had frost overnight and its supposed to be cold today, but no rain until later today, so hopefully i can get some gardening done, need to take out the pepper plants and turn the soil.

 

Nor-easter due to arrive here tomorrow... I better find some winter clothes to put on, huh?

Its cold here this morning, and we had frost again overnight, but its not supposed to rain today, so thats good!!

I have some errands to run and grocery shopping to do

Got all the pepper plants pulled, added some manure to the soil and some bonemeal, and turned over the soil.

 

Supposed to rain for the next four days... chilly Autumn weather. Leaves still green here though except for a few.

Its only a little after 6am here, but its cold and we had more frost again.

If its not raining later, i need to plant some bulbs and cut back my perennials,
Did that here the other day Toni, sorted the clothes and pulled out the winter stuff and packed away the summer.

 

The seasonal clothing switch has to be my least favorite chore. More chilly rain today. Can't believe I've had to turn on the heat so early in October.

 

Same here, its pretty sad to see the clothes being packed away, and my furnace has been on for a couple weeks now, havent lit the gas stove in the living room yet though.

 

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -3°C and overcast. We have had a very cold week, and almost everything in the garden has been finished off. I only have a few cabbage, Kale and Leeks left in the garden. I guess it's time to start fall yard clean up.
I wish I had your problem Toni...I sure could use a few days of 85° weather! It has been so cold here and the wood stove has been burning non stop.

Good morning, it's cold here this morning. I guess I should take a jacket when I go to the farmer's market this morning. It's supposed to be sunny and at least 70 today though. I hope this hopping from 90 to 70 and back to 90 is about finished. One thing or another but not the hopping back and forth. dooley

Its going to be a little nicer here today then it has been in awhile, and no frost lastnight, so thats good.

I did some gardening yesturday and cut back alot of my perennials in the front, need to do the back.

 

Finally finished the seasonal clothing switch last night... Did laundry for days, it seemed. The rain has finally stopped after four straight days of it. It is only 35 (F) outside right now. These cold temps are early this year.

What a good weekend we had. Sunshine on Sunday. I was able to finish all my flower moving and do yard clean up. Most everything is done. Only need to cut down the vege garden in the greenhouse. Anything else I get done outside now is all a bonus. Have a good day.

Its going to be a nice day today.

Its supposed to start raining later on, and have high winds for a couple days, so i might hold off on going out with the mower and mulching the leaves, if the winds are going to be higher then normal, might as well wait.
