I was going to head out to the lotties and remove a sick squash, but in stead the weather hads gone bad with slate-coloured skies and a "dull" wind as we say here---so I shall stay here instead and play on the compi (after doing the housework).
Have a good day there and post something today...anything, just post something showing what you are doing or seeing or something featuring your plants.
    I feel like reading.

    Morning all.

I will gladly trade weather with Netty and her 69F or Sjoerd and the slate-gray skies. We have yet more cloudless clear blue skies and looking forward (hahahaha) to 105F/41C degrees today. It has been clear, blue and sunny for so long now that the blue of the sky is fading to almost white, seriously, the sky is loosing it's color! Just another reason I don't like that evil day star up there.

We are going out for breakfast in a little while, then to the fabric store so I can buy some iron-on seam tape to make a curtain for my oldest daughter's classroom. I do not own a sewing machine any more so I get to take the easy way out.
I found some Science theme fabric since she is a science teacher.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 17°C and sunny. I have the day off today for morning appointments and then we are off to the mall to get our back to school shopping done. With 3 kids (2 teens) it should cost me a small fortune! The count down begins ... 7 days until school starts!!

Morning all. Supposed to have only two more days of 100+ temps, but this heat wave is going out with a blast!!! 108 yesterday, 106 to 110 today then dropping down to 101 on Tuesday...and those are the actual temps taken less than a mile from my house.
Still no rain in sight for my yard in the forecast tho.

Today I will be working on a couple of pretties for the garden, I'll take pictures when they are finished of course.

Morning all. 109 yesterday at the reporting station less than a mile from me. But Friday morning it could be down to 70 when I get up, it's been a long time since the overnight temp was lower than 82 around here.

Halloween is just a little over a month away, Christmas is four months from tomorrow and 2011 starts in just 4 months and 1 week. I am trying mind control to get me thru until the weather gets better. Oh, yeah, I have got to get my rain dance things ready for the full moon tonight ;)

GOOD morning all. The Good is back in that greeting because the 100+ heat wave has ended. We will still have temps in the 90's but that is normal for August, it's the morning temps I am happy about. 70's means I can work in the yard again, altho it makes me really sad to see what the garden looks like after almost two months of doing nothing out there.

Going plant shopping, my plants are so exhausted from just trying to stay alive they have no energy to bloom and I need color out there. Might not be much left but I'll see what I can find.

    Good morning everyone,

Its raining here, and cooler, but they said on the news for us to enjoy the "cool", that the heat is moving back in for the weekend.

Good morning all, wonderful weather we have this morning. 70 degrees earlier, only thing that would make it even better is if we could get some rain. Once again there was rain in areas all around us, some only a few miles away but we were in this black hole called 'no rain on Toni's yard' We are about to end week 8 without rain.

Good morning all. I will be working in the yard this morning, it is soooooo nice outside now, plus I bought some new plants the other day!

I have been awake since 3 this morning, tossed and turned for another hour and a half then gave up on going back to sleep and just got up. Randy and I just got back from having coffee at Dunn Bros, the sun is just starting to come up and it's the last day of the full moon cycle with a nice large moon up there too.

I'll be taking a nap this afternoon I'm sure.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 12°C and sunny. .I have today to do everything I want to do this weekend because tomorrow we are going to spend the day with my family - a celebration of 3 birthdays and the last get together before school starts. So today I need to clean house, weed the gardens, do laundry, scrub floors, and everything else. Where to start? LOL
    Have a great day all!

Good morning all. It was soooo nice temperature wise yesterday morning that I spent about 5 hours out front pulling up dead plants and weeds, planting some new plants and watching a Momma Gulf Fritillary deposit yet more eggs on the Passionflower Vine. There are already almost two dozen cats in different stages of live on the vine, a couple of them look to be about ready to pupate.

Haven't worked in the yard since early June so my muscles are telling me that I had better get back to it in slow stages. Ouch.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 15°C and sunny. It's going to be a scorcher today, but I'm not complaining! Seems to me that Autumn is on it's way so any hot summer weather is most welcome.
We are spending the day at the cottage today :)
    Have a great day all.
