Happy Thanksgiving to all! Hubby is preparing the turkey and our family tradition continues (I don't know how to make a T-Day dinner :D )

Temps are 32F/0C. Funny year since the apple, and hazelnut/filberts haven't lost most of their leaves yet. Hopefully it will rain the snow away so I can get those leaves on the garden and garden beds. Our street is convered in ice and snow so another day to sit at home and enjoy a good book.

    Good morning everyone,

Good morning all. Currently -2°C with overcast skies and strong winds. I'm getting really tired of these strong winds! Just some cleaning to do today and maybe think about writing a Christmas list of gifts to buy. I'd better get moving on this ... less than a month until Christmas!!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Had our first freeze of the season last night, once again the rain is southeast of us and we are missing the possibility of snow and ice today.

We will be braving the madding crowds this morning to do a little gift shopping. I followed my oldest daughter's example this year and have been shopping thru most of the year so we only have a few left to buy.

Good Morning. No shopping here today, it is to crowded for me--and cold. It is only 22° at 9:30 am. Maybe I will start my Christmas cards. Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

Good morning! No shopping here today either. It was 45 degs this morning so it didn't get as cool as it was forecast. The sun is shining. It did get to 83 yesterday then in 20 minutes it went down to 48 degs with winds and rain. No amount of rain, just off and on showers. Mostly cold wind.
No plans for today except to dismantle fall and Thanksgiving decor so we can think about Christmas.

    Hello everyone

It was another warm day and all I could think of was "so much to do, so little time, must squeeze in some stewing time." ANd I only go around to it now. :D

Enjoying the balmy 39F/4C. No shopping just homework/work today. Leftovers are packed away for scrumptous meals much later. Nice to hear that others are avoiding the shopping craze also. My shopping seems to be online anyway :D Fewer crowds.

    Hello everyone
IT is certainly not my normal Saturday.
I actually managed to squeeze in some stewing time - Yippeee. So much reading that must be done to catch up... :-D

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 0°C and overcast. I let the dog out at 5am and the weather was nice. I got up at 7 am and the ground was covered with snow!! I missed the storm somehow, but I'm sure we'll see more snow later. I guess there is no more denying it ... winter is here :(

Good day all. The dreaded flu has arrived, so I am sitting pretty here in front of the laptop with a hot whiskey to aid me. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Good morning! It's winter here, too. It was 32 degs this morning and Chance's outside water had ice on it. Heavy frost on the ground. I'm glad I covered the kale and brought the lettuce inside. dr covered the water pipes with insulation yesterday, too. Sunshine and 65 today and not so cold tonight. NO SNOW!! That's a plus there.

Get better soon Frank. Does the whiskey really cure the flu or just make you not care that you have it? ;)

Good morning all. It's 35 now and there is about 1/2 inch of ice on the birdbaths. So a freeze occurred overnght and stayed for quite a while to get ice to that thickness.

No yard work for a few days so now I will start making Mustang Grape Jelly, that should keep the kitchen nice and toasty for the next few days.

It helps to make you sweat out the bad stuff, but of course if you take many it may have the second effect :)

Frank I shared your heated whiskey idea (he too is suffering from a nasty cold/flu) and his eyes lit up. I think he is feeling better, but he may have found another use for his Jamesons. :)

39F/4C today with sun breaking through the clouds. Feels down right balmy (guess it is all perspective)

Am learning a few things about Ipods today (lots of apps: :sete_055: games, music, movies, podcasts, books, etc). Fun! and I only had to phone tech support once. ;)
