Good Monday morning all. It is a chilling 8F here, with clouds and cold wind. Brrr!
We were just at the far west end of the big storm this time. *whew* We had real strong wind and about an inch of snow. Others had way worse.
I'm going to bake cookies today and stay warm.

    Hallo everyone

THe South-Easter winds is killing us all and it will not abate.

We usually get this type of winds (i.e. Cape of Storms wind) in the month of August.
Alas - it only hit us with a vengeance since Friday.

Hope all the stewbies are OK.

Good morning all. Our low this morning was between 27-30 degrees depending on which thermometer you were looking at. I do know it froze for a few hours tho cause some of the plants that were still in bloom yesterday are looking brown and saggy this morning.

    Hello everyone
It seems like we are back to our summer heat - the wind has gone down and it is HOTTTT.

Yikes - even a ski resort closed - that is hectic.
    Hang in there Penny.

Good Tuesday morning all. Current windchill temperatures are -23°C. We have continuing gale force winds and snow squalls and I am amazed that the school bus's were running here today.
Penny-I heard about the closures up your way. I don't think I've ever heard of a ski resort closing due to bad winter weather! London, Sarnia and area have declared a state of emergency today as all the roads are impassable. I hope this wind gives up soon!!!!

I'm sick of winter already too Penny!
It sounds like the storm breaks for Thursday so that should help get Kait to school on time. Will you wait for her and then come right back for the Holidays?

    Good morning everyone,

Its still snowing here, although not as bad, we no longer have squalls coming in off the Bay, but the wind picks up and causes white outs, with the snow coming off the banks, being as high as they are.

    Its still -23 here too.

Hi Netty.......yes, we'll wait, i am just hoping that the weather holds.

Good morning all. It is to be in the mid-70's this afternoon, already lower 60's so I will be working in the garden today. Of course the temps will be dropping over the next few days again, we are having yo-yo weather this month. No rain in the foreseeable future thanks to La Nina.

    Hello everyone

It is a lovely cool day here and it is going to be a busy one.
the floor is going on - some crane action to see for me and my dogs.

Other than that we will try to stay calm...
Hope you all have a great day and stay warm and healthy. :stew1:

Good morning all. I woke up a little before 5 this morning, laid in bed tossing and turning but not sleeping for about an hour then gave up and got up.

Got some clean up done out front yesterday, the Zinnias and Hyacinth Bean Vines are history for this year...I am really curious as to how many volunteers I will get from them next spring. I will definitely have to water everything today, it is bone dry out there.
The winds have been irritating the last few days and there are many areas of north Texas under a Wildfire warning because of winds and no rain. This time last year we were having such wonderful winter weather

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -8°C and snowing. It looks very pretty outside, the kind of weather I like to reserve just for Christmas morning ;)
Today is shopping day and I hope to finish my holiday shopping too.
    Have a great day all.
