Good morning all. Supposed to get rain tonight into tomorrow but only 1 inch or less in total. It's been about a month since we had our last 1 inch of rain and then there was the 1 inch of rain we had a month before that...gee will the rain never end  Our drought conditions are still only in the moderate range and even an inch of rain will do nothing to change that. But it's a La Nina winter so we have at least 3 maybe 4 more months of this.
The first area wildfire happened yesterday started by careless outdoor burning, it spread from the trash pile to a neighbors house and they lost everything.

Good afternoon all, we are actually getting rain today. Nice, steady rain that my plants will suck down so quickly it will make me attacking a chocolate malt look very slow.

Did more baking today, Pecan Sandies and Cranberry nut bread. Everything is baked, wrapped and ready for three gift giving events this weekend.

This afternoon we go to my Mom's since tomorrow is going to be too cold for her to get out, tomorrow we will be up with oldest daughter and her family then Sunday we will be going to Randy's folks. Then on Monday I will be spending pretty much all day in my recliner with a pot of tea and a book.

Oh i could do with some of your rain!,i am in day three without water, water tanks are empty, the entire town is in the same situation, all bottle water is sold out,but i did get some, and am using this to make tea and coffee, and for cooking.

Draining water off cooking and putting it in the toilet cistern for flushing, washing hands with snow from the garden and melting snow to wash dishes.

    Christmas Greetings to everyone!

It's been dark and cloudy here since early this morning but it's only just started to rain. It is cold and yucky outside right now. We're home and plan to stay here. We delivered our cookies and stollen this morning and have finished all of our Christmas things and are ready for tomorrow. We needed the rain, too. I read in the paper that Madison County has the worst drought rating in the state of Texas. It's been dry for sure.

Good morning all. We don't have little ones who run to the tree anymore but will be heading up to see what Santa brought the grandsons in a few minutes.

Congrats on the new chair Netty.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

While some have turkey for Christmas I had, amongst other items, cow lung. Yes you read it correctly. A very unusual Christmas dinner!
