Hi everyone, It's an interesting morning here in the plains. The temp was 52°F at 6 a.m. Now, at noon, it is sunny & 57°F. That is unseasonably warm for us on Dec.30!
However, there is a cold front moving our way, and by this time tomorrow we will be having a snowstorm. The temps are only going to be in the teens.
Might put a damper on New Year's celebrating.
It is nice that we have the resources and the weather predictions so these storms don't catch us by surprise.
The wind has already increased considerably since morning. I am going to take Missy for a walk and enjoy being outdoors before winter comes back!

Good afternoon all. Had a busy morning, one more batch of cinnamon bread to make-- a loaf for youngest daughters friends at their NYE party this weekend and another loaf for Mom.
My oldest daughter gave me a certificate to www.chocomize.com so I just had to order my custom made chocolate bars...I got 4, all dark chocolate --- one with Lavender, one with crystalized Violet petals, one with Pecans and one with dried Strawberries.
Ripped some CD's to my computer so I can listen while in this part of the house. Laundry, dishes ICK!!
Found a couple of online stores that support www.OpGratitude.com so I ordered some things.

I have an order ready to submit to Gurney's....getting 2 Passion Flower Vines, a Chocolate Vine, a Hops Vine, a Variegated Weigela and a perennial Sweet Pea (flower not veggie)

I think it's time for a cup of tea and my book.

    Hello there all stewbies

It is as usual pretty hot here and with no pool to swim in and cool down I feel for my pets. (My German Shepherd loves swimming.)

ALso I feel that I have neglected the Stew and my thread for the past week since it is the fiery season and I am a volunteer and was kept quite busy over the time. Just check what I mean by fiery season

    http://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/ ... 58?image=1.

So busy that I did not have time to upload some photos for the "house progress and garden regress" thread.

Hopefully we can take a breather today.
Stay warm all the cold stewbies of the northern hemisphere. And those who have summer all year round stay cool. (KKnG comes to mind here). 8)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 3°C and overcast. We have rain in the forecast today so that should take care of the remaining snow. I'm going to have a lazy last day of 2010 I think. First I need to call my Mom ... it's her birthday today :D

It's party cloudy but mostly sunny right now with a 71 deg temperature. The forecast calls for thunderstorms later today and tonight. Cooler temperatures to start the new year but not below 60, I think. I can handle that. Have a Happy New Year!

Good afternoon all. We are sitting in our favorite motel room tonight thru Sunday morning. Our youngest is having a New Years party and kicked us out of the house ;) Not a problem for us, cable TV, a jacuzzi in the room, no dishes to do and very little cooking. I have 4 gardening magazines, a good book and some knitting to keep me busy tomorrow.

I forgot to bring the newest seed/plant catalogs with me but the magazines are giving me plenty of ideas on their own.

Good morning! I hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve! It's sunny here today but only in 60's and it's windy. dr took advantage of the sun and wind and washed a couple loads of clothes. I only made scones and scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast. I think I will start the undecorating process today. I won't do it all at once though.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -5°C and snowing. We took down all the Christmas decorations and the tree yesterday. I wasn't really ready to do that yet, but I was out numbered 4-1.
Today I need to go shopping and get stuff for the kids lunches this week ... back to school!!!
Have a great day all :D
