Good Monday morning all. Currently -6°C and mostly cloudy. I have been lucky enough to see a bit of sunshine peeking through the clouds on occasion. The kids are gone back to school today so it's almost peaceful. DH is home and is fixing the wall in the laundry room so I can paint it. It's only taken 7 years for him to do that ;)

Good morning all. I don't have kids going back to school anymore but I think they go back tomorrow around here...kinda looking forward to the quiet on the street again, we have a lot of kids in the neighborhood now.

I am thinking about doing some cleaning around here, but like the plaque in the kitchen says "When I get the urge to clean house I lay down until it passes".....time for a lie down with a book

Good Morning all. Currently -4°C and snowing. It seems very dark out this morning. Today I will empty the cupboards on one side of the kitchen so hubby can add more storage space. We have wanted to change the kitchen since we moved in - in 2003!
Have a great day all :D

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -11°C and clear. It's a very nice morning-I took the dog for a long walk already this morning. I do see a snow cloud looming in the distance so I think this lovely morning will be short lived. The kitchen project continues this morning.
Have a great day all :D

    Hi there all stewbies

Good luck with your kitchen project Netty. It sounds fun.

We are again in the ultra hot weather - it is 37 deg Celsius here at this very moment. (Phew)

    I miss my pool.
I want the dust to be less....
I want the house- project to progress a lot quicker.
Want to be playing in the snow for now.
I want to swim in the sea and play with the dogs.
I want the veld fires to end.

(Oh fluff - I do sound like a naughty child.)

Goodd morning all. 45F/7C here at this moment going up a little bit by afternoon. Next week we might be thinking that the Earth has indeed flipped on it's axis and we are living at the North Pole. Teens at night and maybe getting as warm as 32F/0degC during the afternoon. And should last all of next week which will be great for killing unwanted bugs and my plants will finally all get to take a winter's rest too.

PalmTree, I don't envy you the 37C/98F temps. Back in July and August I could have seen your 37 and raised you 5.

    Hello everyone

Nice Frank- congrats on your new laptop.
Ooh Toni - that must have been terrible and you make it sound ike a game. Fortunately I live in an area that does not get that hot - mainly due to the amunt of trees in the neighbourhood. The ultra-hot areas like - Paarl and Franschhoek was in that temperature zone...)
The whole week will probably be this hot..

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -11°C and overcast. Today I have errands to run, shopping to do and supplies to pick up. The kitchen project has hit a snag (isn't that always the way?) and now we need to fix an extra wall, replace insulation, and move 2 electrical outlets. Fun!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. I have been in a cleaning frame of mind this week and I HATE it....I'm afraid it might become a regular routine...like I might even want to do it every month instead of every decade

Netty, it seems there are always snags on projects like that. Especially projects that involve the important rooms like Kitchens or Bathrooms. We are making plans for re-doing our bathroom (this is a one bathroom house) in a couple of months, I really hope the snags are few.

PalmTree, 37C/98F and hotter is a typical June thru mid-Sept summer for us. I can joke about it around this time of the year but for those months I am a rantingly disturbed puddle of misery.
