Good Sunday morning all. Currently -13°C and sunny. The furnace went out some time and the house was only 12°C this morning. And that was with the woodstove going!
The furnace is up and running again so it should heat up quickly.
Have a great day all :)

Gooooood morning all. We have rain this morning and 39F/3C and dropping. The possibility of snow this afternoon and evening is BACK. I have my fingers, toes and eyes crossed that it does and accumulates....makes it difficult to type, I can't see what I am typing and the toe cramps are fierce but if that's what it takes then I'm doing it.

Good morning! It started raining here bout 2 am and continued to pour until about 10 am. Then it quit and now it's raining again. It's gray, cloudy and cold. I made muffins and cheese eggs for breakfast. I just scramble the eggs and add cheese near the end so it melts into the eggs. Chance loves them. We'll be staying in the rest of the day. The forecast calls for occasional rain this afternoon but I think it will rain more than that. I hope it doesn't snow any here. I am truly not fond of snow. dooley

Good Sunday all! I am watching big, powdery snowflakes falling. It is supposed to snow gently until Tuesday, accumulating to around 6 inches. The story will be the cold temps though.
This dry powdery snow is so pretty, especially when we do not have to go anywhere.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -14°C and sunny. I have 2 kids home sick from school today :(
The kitchen project continues. I've heard that renovations can cause divorce and I'm starting to understand why ;)
    Have a great day all!

Good morning all. Still below freezing here this morning, 28F/2C I don't think we got the sleet last night that they thought we would but we could still have some icy drizzle or sleet today.

The bird feeders and suet blocks are covered with arguing Starlings and Sparrows, even saw a Woodpecker at the one by my window yesterday afternoon.

Netty, Randy and I are always amazed when we finish one of our home projects and are still on speaking terms. I tell him how I want it to look when finished and he says 'Here hold this' a lot during the project.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -12°C and overcast. Weatherman says we will get some snow today. Some clean up to do today and the kitchen project continues. 2 new cabinets have been built and hopefully in a few days we can go and get the tiles and the new countertops. I can't wait until this project is done ... I can't stand the mess much longer!
Have a great day all :D

Good morning all. It's 21F/-6C here this morning and I hear a Cardinal pipping out the side window. The Starlings and Sparrows will descend on the suet feeders pretty soon, their routine this week has been to dive in about 3 times a day, pretty sure I am the only one in this neighborhood who feeds them. The Woodpecker is hanging from his personal suet block enjoying his breakfast.

Me, I am feeling miserable with his head cold. Whiskey didn't help any last night, maybe I didn't drink enough. I'll try again tonight. ;)

Toni, Rest, rest, rest! And a nip of whiskey later :D

Sunny, windy and cold today. I will stay inside. I have a sewing room project that I have been putting off since before Thanksgiving. I didn't want to start it when I wasn't feeling well.
    Chicken for supper but how?

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -10°C and snowing. Snowing hard! We got about 4" overnight and it should snow all day. This is finally starting to feel like a Canadian winter!
Have a great day all :)

Morning all! Got a good couple of inches of snow on the ground, and more than enough car accidents since it started yesterday early morning.
Out front of where I work is a good (bad?) place for accidents, one car slid over the curb and knocked off the 2 passenger side wheels...

Made cookeis this morning, German Chocolate cake mix cookies (with icing, of course!) and chocolate oatmeal no-bakes. We're having a bake sale at work today to raise money for one of our employees who's having surgery on her back, because she cant pay the out-of-pocket expenses on her own. And the company will match whatever we raise. So far I think we're at about $300 :)

    Good morning all stewbies

It seems to be another of the usual hot days and at present our yard is full of builders - bricklayers, plasterers, electricians, plumbers, you name it - they are all here.
My dogs (poor pets) decided to spend the day in the garage rather - I suppose too many people for them to watch.

Stay warm and stay well. :stew1:
