    Good morning everyone,

With temperatures in the low 30's old man winter is adding a couple if inches of snow to make whats on the ground look clean and white. Springtime is sitting in the wings waiting for an entrance queue.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -15°C and overcast. We have an inch of fresh snow here too. Today is a holiday here for Ontario...'Family Day'. Kind of ironic ... I just broke down a brick wall in my Family Tree yesterday and found some new information on my mothers side of the family. How exciting! Anyone else here working on their family tree??

Good morning all. It's my usual Monday off work. Had plans on finishing the newest flower bed, but it looks like it may rain. Guess I'd better use this time start cleaning the house since my sister & 2 brothers from California are coming in later in the week to attend my other brother's retirement party.

Good morning all. Just another day of warm and sunny here  While 75-80 degree highs in February are not setting any records for this area, it does set the stage for a long and very hot summer.

Netty, that is exciting. I'm working on my family tree too and have a major brick wall on my Mother's side also. I can't find anything about her Mother that I can verify and family history was never discussed when her parents were alive.

Good day all. Just preparing for a long trip ahead of me tomorrow. How does a 2 hour flight followed by a 13 hour flight sound?

Still freezing and clouds are moving in. Hoping for warmer weather so we get rain and not snow  . Time for a little yard work. Potted up some miss placed hydrengas for replanting or give-away. Have lots more clean-up to do than will get finished any time soon. :stew1:

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -17°c and sunny. I have a whole lot of cleaning to do today. I did next to nothing yesterday ... I was hooked to the computer working on my family tree. What an addiction!
Have a great day all :D

Good morning everyone. Back to work after a 3-day weekend. Good thing too... I need the rest! :D
Got a little rain last night so this morning was a pleasant 65 degrees and will be a nice comfortable 75 today.
Netty... we've been able to trace my dad's side of the family back to the 1700s. And that was before the internet. I just haven't had the time to really get into it lately. Like you said... very addictive.

Good morning all. We have the cooler weather today too but are still dry as a bone.
I spent all day yesterday doing family research too. I have one family line on my Dad's side that goes back to 1753 when my 5th-great grandfather came to the U.S. when he was 14 and apparently alone in the world.

Good Tuesday to all. After several days of teasing temperatures in the 60s and 70s, Mother Nature is giving us a winter slap again. Back to cold for a while. It is currently 19°F, but at least sunny. Today, a crew from the landscaping co. I work for are coming to take down an old Austrian Pine in my backyard. It has been failing and looking poorly for a few years now, so we want to get it down before all my plants come back up and any birds think of nesting in it. I feel very sad about this, although it has had a good long life, (40+ years) I will miss it. I guess it will be an opportunity to re-create the space. After the expense of taking it out, I won't have the $$$ to buy a new tree. I think I may relocate a tall zebra grass in the spot for this year anyway to add some height, and fill in some of the emptiness. :'( :'( :'(

    Good day everyone,
With the temperature creeping up over the freezing point, the snow blanket is again melting. The ground and spring are painfully inching closer to reality. Oh this is a long winter. I wonder if a blowtorch would work?:)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -18°C and sunny. Yesterday was cold, but a gorgeous sunny day. I went for a 2.5 hour walk with the dog yesterday and enjoyed every second of it! We'll go for another one today and enjoy the weather because tomorrow isn't going to be nice. Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday all. Today I am rightfully jetlagged after my long trip halfway across the world. Glad to say that I'm back in Malaysia to soak up more sun and the vibrant life / food here.

    Have a good one all!
