    Good morning everyone,

The squirrel is either helping the chipmunk enlarge his snow-covered entrance or he is after sunflower seeds in the chipmunk's hole. Isn't it nice animals help each other? :) Temperatures will barely creep over 32°F(0°C) making the best reading in garden-land the seed catalog. Spring is a name on the calendar and something that happens in Texas this time of year. Lucky Texans :)

Page 82 has some really nice stuff.....

Good SUnday morning all. Currently -4°C and snowing. We got 10+ cm overnight too.
There were tons of birds out this morning, playing and singing and taking turns at the feeder. I don't know why they are all so happy, but it made ME happy to watch and listen to them. They must know spring is on the way! Have a great day all :D

    Good morning everyone,

With an additional 4 inches of white stuff on the ground I think we can safely say the ground hog had it all wrong. Spring is now 3 weeks away. Rain and snow predicted for tomorrow temps in the low 30's. I will curl up with a good seed catalog. Glad to see we are back up and running.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -1°C and snowing. We had rain overnight that made everything a wet, slushy mess. Now the temperature is dropping and it has changed to snow. The roads should be an icy mess soon. I think I'll be staying indoors today. Have a great day all :D

Good morning all. Ummm, I wonder what happened to summer? Yesterday the temperatures around the area ranged from 75 to 90 but this morning I opened the front door and was hit in the face by 25 mile an hour winds with a windchill of 38. A front moved in late yesterday but didn't like the looks of our area so it took all it's rain east and south of us, once again leaving us high and dry.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -16°C and sunny. It's going to be a lovely day!
Lots of excitement in the neighborhood this morning...a structure fire in the distance, tons of black smoke and helicopters circling the area. There's some action over at the barn this morning too - maybe another foal born? And ROBIN'S flying all over!! What a way to start the day! Have a great day all :D

    Good morning everyone,

With temperatures in see-saw mode, the thaw-freeze cycle has reduced the snow cover to 22 inches as indicated by the "official backyard yardstick in the snow" measuring device.
Spring can't be far away. :)

Good morning all. Any snow you all want to get rid of would be put to good use out in west Texas where there are huge wildfires, some as close as 120 miles from me and the potential in south Texas is growing too. So already we have the beginning of a looooooong, hot and dry summer.

Anyone north of here want to house swap for about 8 months?

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -13°C and sunny. Well, my computer is messed up again. I'm not sure what happened, but once again I have to take it in to the shop. Thank goodness I have a 'backup' computer in the house! Today is shopping day. Have a great day all :)

    Good morning everyone,

The temperatures reached a bone chilling 9°F/-13°C this morning spring seems to be taking a slow train to the Northeast. We are looking forward to later in the week when the temperatures are expected to get to 40°F. We need a 60°F/15°C day to make a sizable reduction in the snow cover. Think warm. :)
