Good day all. I am sitting here in shorts and a t-shirt, temp is going up to around 75 for the high. My legs and back were way too achy this morning to get out and work again so I have spent the day piddling around on the computer. Still looking for any family info on my elusive grandmother.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -7°C and partly cloudy. I hope to wash the first load of dishes in my new dishwasher sometime today!! Yay...I haven't had a dishwasher for 8 years!! Housework today and then DH and I will head next door to pick up some used fence boards the neighbor gave us. I'm sure we will come up with a project to use them in :)
    Have a great day all!

A warm and foggy morning here in SE Texas. But it should be a gorgeous afternoon. Too bad I'm stuck at work though! And internet service is down at the house, hopefully they'll have it fixed today because Saturday is supposed to be rainy which means I'll be stuck inside. Would be great time to do some plant research. Happy Friday everyone and hope you have a great weekend!

Oh, Netty, congrats on the new dishwasher. Getting mine has been delayed for a while...not spending money on extras right now since we don't know for sure if the government employees will be placed on furlough on March 11th and if so how long it will last.

Good morning all. Rain Cheryl? Oh,yeah, you live south and east of me so of course you will get rain...we might get a sprinkle if we are lucky....again.

Randy got rid of the old riding lawnmower last week. There is no longer a lawn for him to mow, it was just taking up space in the shed that is needed for other stuff...so today we will be cleaning out that shed. Some of that stuff has been in there since we moved in almost 24 years ago....might need it some day dontchaknow  But now is the time for it to have a new home, be it at the scrap metal yard, someone else's garage, the recycle facility or the dump.

    Goodmorning everyone,

Today with the temperature at 28°F the snow is nice and comfortable. Sunday the snow should boil as the temperatures climb to around 50°F.

I'll get rid of the snow somehow.:chuckle:

    Good morning everyone.

Today is Saturday, and I'm going to stain a couple of wall cabinets my wife wants me to install in the kitchen. This should keep me from wandering around aimlessly. :)

And I can watch the snow melt

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 4°C and raining. I just heard we have a rainfall warning in effect ... up to 50mm of rain and then temps dropping and snow.
Its a good thing I have lots to do inside today...I made a HUGE mess in the living room when I decided to start painting it yesterday afternoon. Today I will finish the painting and try to restore order in the house. Have a great day all.

Rained 1.5 inches last night. Sure made it easy to transplant a couple of things. Except it's cold and windy! I'm still determined to get the front flower bed weeded. Now where's my coat? :D

Good afternoon all. Nothing but overcast, cooler temps and high winds here.
I knew Cheryl would get the rain while we again sit high and dry.

We emptied out the shed yesterday, if it gets warmer this afternoon we will finish cleaning it and moving some things from the back room into it.
Need to deliver groceries to my Mom too but other than that not much else on the schedule.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -7°C and overcast. We had heavy rains yesterday and then 15cm of snow overnight. This is NOT going to be fun to shovel up! The dishwasher trial went well-a nice quiet machine and all the dishes were clean. I could really get used to doing dishes like this ;)
We also finished painting the living room walls yesterday and got that room all cleaned out. One of the cupboards revealed 10 years of gardening magazines I had forgotten about! I have lots to read this week! Have a great day all :)

Got down to only near freezing temperatures, so the fruit trees should be fine. The winds have died down a bit, but it's still only about 50F right now. But at least the sun is shining brightly. I refuse to let this little blast of winter keep me from my scheduled outdoor chores!
Oh yeah... Hubby just noticed Bluebirds moving into the birdhouse!

Good morning all. Our morning started out just above the freezing mark and is up to 41 now heading to the low 60's for this afternoon. Too cool to work outside even if I wasn't extremely sore from cleaning out the shed and back room for he last two days.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -15°C and sunny. It was a busy weekend so today I think I'm going to take it easy. Maybe I'll read some more of those old gardening magazines :)
    Have a great day all!

Happy Monday to all! It's a bit cold out this morning (40s) but doesn't seem as cold as yesterday. Hope the sun comes out and warm it up more because I've got the day off work and lots of stuff to do outside.
