Happy Friday everyone! Working from home again today. The temps are in the mid 40s this morning, but should rise to the 70s as the day goes on. I plan is to take a long break and play/work with my new mower!
Been watching the news about the Tsunami... more than half of my family lives in California on the coastline... hoping/praying that they are on their way Westward and that that darn wave losses steam on it's way there.

With the news of Japan's earthquake and resulting tsunami a lot of people around the Pacific will be in our thoughts and prayers. The fury of nature at its worst can be humbling.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. The days have been SO grey lately ... what I would do for a day of sunshine! After watching the news from Japan this morning, suddenly I feel very lucky that my biggest complaint is the lack of sunshine.

Happy Saturday morning! The sun is trying to peak out of the clouds. Supposed to be partly cloudy all day, but at least in the 70s. After I finish some work and some shopping, it'll be time to fire up the lawn mower for the first time this year.

    Good morning everyone,

Spring is emerging, ever so slowly the melting snow cover allows a forgotten item of fall to reappear. A hanging basket of dianthus, still green, has made an appearance. Chipmunks are cavorting. Last year the 'Gang of Eight' provided an endless chase that only stopped due to sub-freezing temperature. Today , however , the temperature is expected to hit 50°F. It's nice to swelter in a spring 'heat wave.' We will have to send the 'heat wave' east to Scotland. Winter has not finished there yet. Now, how do I get the chipmunks to 'ride the wave' east?

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. We had snow overnight, enough to turn everything white again.
Not sure what we are doing today, I'm sure something will come up.
Have a great day all :)

    Good morning everyone,

An overcast morning will not dampen the spring spirit as the temperature climbs out of the 30's. Snow continues to melt, 8 inches remain. I need to borrow a fire breathing dragon to melt snow. Hello?..... Mrs McPherson?....... :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -8°c and sunny! Sun! It sure has been a while since I've seen SUN! We are off to town today for a Dr's visit and will waste some time there shopping. We are having some wiring replaced today and the power will be out for a while.

    Happy Monday Morning everyone.
It's cloudy and with 60% chance of rain... which we need.. BUT darnit! I spent most of the weekend inside doing work and today... when I just have a little bit to do, it's going to be raining! Wonder if I can time it good enough to run outside and plant something... come back inside and work and repeat? :D
Oh well... tomorrow is supposed to be nice, and if I get all my work done today... then tomorrow will be all mine!

Good morning all. Very cloudy, windy and cool this morning. Once again when the rain swept over our area there was a gap in the line of thunderstorms and that gapped passed right over us...my yard go zilch, nada, nothing. Nothing in the forecast for the next week and nothing appears to be coming until MAYBE the end of March.

We got back from Austin late yesterday evening. I have photos of the nature center where the wedding we went to took place and I bought some junque on the way home. Today we are going to Randy's parents for a late birthday lunch for his Mom.
I'll get the photos posted tomorrow.

    Good morning everyone,

With the sun hiding behind the clouds the daytime temperature will not rise above 41°F/5°C. Yesterday I walked around the yard The resident skunk is awake, signs of grub hunting dotted the pathways cerated by the snowblower. The path to the bird feeder being the more popular as it also leads to seeds dropped by the birds.
Watching the mounds of snow retreat is akin to watching a glacier melt......drip....drip.....drip. The New England flower show is less than a week away. :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -8°C and sunny. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day! I was watching 3 deer playing in the field this morning.
Yesterday I was out back with the dog and I was looking at bits of the garden that were poking out. The dog was playing with something behind the old chicken coop when I suddenly heard squealing. Thinking she had a mouse I left here be because there are WAY too many mice. When I finally went to check, it wasn't a mouse...it was a RAT!
I was so grossed out! Rats? Here? UGH!
Now I'm so paranoid there are more that I had dreams about rats all night!!

    Happy Tuesday morning all.
Last day to work from home! Yippee! It just seems harder to work from here than the office. Maybe it's because I'm taking a bunch of breaks and going outside? :D
Hubby has the day off work... so he's going to finish the gate and archway. That means I can get the trumpet vines in the ground today.
