Good Friday morning all. Currently 7°C and overcast. We had a thunderstorm last night and the rain took care of the last bits of snow. I was in a garden center yesterday and managed to control myself...I only pot some peat pods and 10 packages of seeds. Maybe this will be the year of restraint? Nah, who am I kidding? ;)
    Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone had a good St. Patty's day. Corned beef and cabbage headed the menu with talking about relatives a close second. Today the snow will be heated by a 60°F+ sunny day. Nothing like warm snow. :)

Happy Friday to everyone. Going to be another beautiful mostly sunny day with temps in the mid to upper 70s. Now... if it just stays like this for the entire weekend!

Good morning all. Supposed to be another day in the mid-80's maybe closer to 90. Spring started here back in Feb and we are now heading into early summer....and the Vernal Equinox
    isn't until Sunday.

Today is stay inside and get household things done. Just swapped winter clothes for summer ones, paid the bills (thankfully the government hasn't put everyone on furlough yet), vacuumed, done laundry...still have dishes to wash then I am going to hibernate in my room with my box of seeds to draw up a planting plan.

Maybe I don't want to be part Irish afterall....unless I get to wash that down with a pint of Guinness. ;)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. Today we are heading to my sisters to celebrate my nephews 16th birthday. The whole family will be there so I am going to bring along my new genealogical findings. Maybe some memories will be jogged ;)
Have a great day all :D

Good late evening everyone. It was such a beautiful day, I just now took the time to check in. Planted some sunflowers for the birds. About halfway through mowing, the darn riding mower starting really smoking! Hubby came running out with the fire extinguiser. Thankfully it wasn't needed. So I finished mowing with the push mower... well... not everything... but enough to tire me out!

It definitely was a good day. We are pooped puppies. We spent the day at the flower show, exhibits, talks and buying stuff. So many flowers and wall to wall people.

    Pictures tomorrow

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -8°C and sunny. The full moon last night was absolutely gorgeous! We had a lovely time yesterday and I impressed the family with my new findings. Today, I need to finish the laundry and cleanup and get the kids prepared to go back to school tomorrow :) Have a great day all!

Happy first day of Spring to everyone! Today should be as nice as yesterday... lots of sunshine and temps near 80F. Finally got almost everything mowed yesterday... until the riding mower nearly caught on fire! Did what I could do with the push mower... the rest will have to wait.
    Today's chore... the cactus garden!

Good day all. Warming up okay, only 73 now which is really good until I try to do any work in the sun then it's not so good for me.

Stopped at Lowe's for soil and mulch for the veggie garden. Soil for the containers that will be mixed with my homemade compost and the mulch to cover the ground where the containers will sit to grow the veggies. I think half of the local population was standing in the garden center check out line, all with flatbed carts filled with plants and/or mulch.

My plant order will be here sometime this week so I need to round up pertinent info about the plants and plan where they will be planted out front...and what flower seeds to plant where too.

Good day everyone this certainly is a good day. Walked around the yard, poked at some beds, still frozen. Went shopping for Caladiums...they were out, lady said next shipment has my name on it. :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently 1°C and raining. That is OK ... if it continues to rain I might get my house work done! I taught my daughter to ride without her training wheels yesterday and then started raking the yard. I slept very well last night! Today there are floors to mop, vacuuming to do, and seeds to plant :)
    Have a great day all!

    Good morning everyone,

Spring is arriving, the daylilies have poked their heads above the surface next to the house. Some of the flowers at the garden center are now spending their time outside trying to attract customers. Just for fun I bought 2 air plants, Tillandsia fasciculata and T. intermedia they are still breathing. :)
