Good morning all. My yard got a whoppin' 1/8th inch of rain yesterday and no more on the horizon until MAYBE next Monday. Looks like we will end the month of March with it being the second driest on record. Really pretty cool this morning, had to bring my succulent planter and the new plants inside last night just to be on the safe side. But the sun will be back later today with temps back in the 80's the rest of the week.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 0°C and overcast. Rain in the forecast today and we could use some. I was raking the lawn yesterday and noticed it was very dry. Some rain might green it up a little.
Have a great day all :D

    Good morning everyone,

As the temperature hovers about the 40 degree mark New Englanders watch the track of a coastal storm as it approaches the Northeast part of the country. The rain/snow line will be determined by the path of the oncoming early spring Nor'easter. Umbrellas or snow shovels will be the equipment of the day Friday. The tension mounts as they remember the April Fool storm a few years ago dumping two and a half feet of snow.

Happy Thursday everyone. Another nice cool night. Woke up to a sunny 58F and it's only supposed to warm up to 75. That nice rain the other night had all the plants looking pretty happy! Taking a couple vacation days just to play out in the yard... and get some Spring cleaning done. Heck... it's going to be so pretty out, I may even leave work a little early today since the boss is out of town! ;)

Good morning all. Slowly warming up here, will be upper 80's by the weekend with Sunday flirting with 90 degrees.
Cheryl you hogged the rain again the other night. Thankfully it doesn't take a heavy rain to fill my 55 gallon rain barrel out back. I gave the Fig tree out back a good deep watering last weekend, emptied the rain barrel doing it. It only takes a 1/4 inch rainfall to fill it so the 1/8 inch we had has given me a half filled barrel out back and refilled the one out front to the brim.

Good Friday morning all! Currently -2°C and extremely foggy. I've been back to searching parish registers so I guess that's what I'll be trying to finish today. Have a great day all :D

    Good morning everyone,

With temperatures in the low 30's winter made perhaps its last appearance of the season. I'm glad I did not put the snow shovel away. Now.......where are my boots....:-(

Good morning all. 55 degrees this morning warming up to about 85 this afternoon.

Hubby and daughter thought they were suffering from allergies but when I came down with the same symptoms we realized it was the 'crud' making the rounds through our little family again 'cause I don't have allergy problems except when I touch cedar. Vit C, Echinacea with Goldenseal and Mucinex by the handful and I think I have once again avoided having it as badly as they did. So I am going to be outside playing in the dirt today.

Good morning all. Why am I up so much earlier than is normal for me? Oh, yeah, my oldest daughter is picking me up this morning for a day of shopping and talking. We haven't been out for a Mom/Daughter day in ages so we have a lot of talking to do.

Almost 90 degrees yesterday and to be that again today. I am NOT ready for Summer, it is just barely Spring, But in a couple of days the Spring like temps will return for another week.

Happy Saturday morning! A nice and cool start to the day around the mid 60s. Supposed to get up to the 80s and nothing but sunshine! They still havent' fixed the riding mower... so I may muster up the energy to do some mowing with the push mower... but not everything, I'd kill myself!

    Good morning everyone,

A sunny day greeted the white stuff on the ground. Temps near 50°F should make the ground reappear. I have my garden rake all warmed up and ready to go. For those in the Northern latitudes only..........LADIES AND GENTLEMEN START YOUR RAKES!!
I can't but have fun this spring and summer. Already the experimenting has begun, I fertilized some snow, and put some grass seed on another patch of snow, just to see what would happen. Now, there must be something else I can do with this snow before it disappears.......

    Good morning everyone,

The snow of April 1st has beat a hasty retreat into memory as the sunny day acts as a magnet drawing us to spring activities. The multitude of spring chores seem a joy after the winter doldrums. Today will be a continuation of last week as the flower beds are uncovered to greet the first sun since being put to sleep last fall. Temperatures in the low 50's make for an ideal work day.

    A Crocus!! A Crocus!!.............
