    Good morning everyone,

It rained during the night, the flower beds received a good long drink. Today I'm going to pot some caladiums. It will be a partly cloudy day with 20 mph wind gusts and temps in the high 50's.

    Good morning everyone,

A sunny morning and some happily potted Caladiums greet a crisp spring day in New England. With the temperature now at 44°F, outside activities can look forward to mid 60's by this afternoon.

Good Monday Morning. A breezy cloudy start to the day here, but she sun is on the way out. No work for me today... so I get to finish weeding and I think I will go ahead and plant some Morning Glory seeds.

Morning! I will have some time away from work because the weather has been stubbornly damp and chilly. Good time to catch up on paperwork, and cleaning (maybe) or I may just go check out the nurseries for ideas. :)

Good evening all. Currently just 1°C and overcast. It was a cold, damp, windy day for my first day back to work. I got quite a lot done considering. Tonight I will sleep well :)

Darn blue heron was in the gold fish pond...again :scheming: . Maybe tomorrow I can get a couple of wire run over the top of the fish pond :-? Critters....

Beautiful this morning and when I got home today. Sunshine. It rained during the day when I was locked up. Gotta love spring. Saw a bald eagle hauling what looked like tree branches for nesting on my way home. Spring is in the air. :stew2:

Good morning everyone, a sunless sky and the possibility of rain might have me working in between the raindrops. The expected high temp is 51°F.

Good Tuesday morning. Back at work. Beautiful day again... but a bit warmer. Low 70s this morning and up to higher 80s this afternoon. With NOT a single drop of rain the foreseeable future.

Good morning all. My garden has pretty much 'gone to h+++ in a handbasket' this month. Not surprisingly, there is a Wikipedia entry for that phrase http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_hell_in_a_handbasket

First I threw my back out, then the hail storm destroyed all my veggies and annuals, then I did my back in again on Sunday helping my oldest daughter take care of a bad situation at her house (she needed her Mom and I wasn't about to say no), we are under the possibility of another round of severe storms tonight, large wildfires not too far from here, making the air quality very unheathy
If all these obstacles clear out by May and the temperatures haven't reached consistent triple digits I might be able to salvage something out there.

Good news is we had our phone company hook us up to their Fiber Optic service, which means our internet connection is super fast and our phone bill will drop by 1/3rd. Wooohooo.

Good evening guys and gals of Garden Stew! :)

Not sure if many remember me but i joined back in '09, had a pretty good year in the garden and posting and what not. Well 2010 wasnt that great of a year for me with a lot of life things going on and i ended up not doing much in the garden, i had a few things going on but 2010 just wasnt that great. Im sure you guys have had times/years like this in your lives.

I got away from posting here and was generally demotivated...

Well now im back and i have the spring fever! I recently got laid off but im trying to stay positive while i find another job and the garden is helping with my mood. I think im going to have more time for the yard this year...:p

anyway i just wanted to say hi and you will probably see me around here more often this year. I know i have a lot of posts and blogs to read up on. Wishing everyone a great season, if it is your spring season, and.....well.....just good to be back!
