Happy Sunday morning. Like Toni said... weather pattern continues. Near 100 and no relief in sight.
Nothing planned for today. Might go to my brother's house if his wife is up to cooking Sunday dinner for everyone. And to see they're new flower beds.

Crank the central AC unit down to 'arctic blast'.
It's really nothing for our summer temps to hover between 100 and 110 for most of July and August at which point being outside the air conditioned house becomes only a memory for me.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 10°C and sunny. It looks like a great day ahead. Another busy day...work, shopping, soccer, and so it begins again!

Good morning everyone, sunny skies, temps in the upper 70's, a good day to start a new flower bed where an old oak tree shaded the front lawn. I am using the oak mulch from the ground stump. I wonder if the skunk returned to continue aerating the lawn?

Good Monday morning. Will only get up to 100F today. Yesterday was waaaaay to hot. 105+F. It actually made stay indoors and get some housecleaning done. By late afternoon, storms blew in all around us, but not one drop of rain at the house. Winds got heavy in a few places and blew down power lines. Today there were traffic lights still out which made my commute to work very irritating and long!
Nothing planned for the garden.... except the usual watering.

Good morning all. My yard was in the 10% of the area that received rain from one of the pop-up thunderstorms late yesterday. It was wonderful, got about 1/2 inch and it actually cooled the temperature down to 95.
Less muggy today so that is on the plus side, but the all day sun and heat negate any earned benefits from the cooler temperature and less mug.

Good Morning Everyone, It's getting hotter everyday here, I can't complain, especially after the "spring" we got here. But.... it is about miserable with the humidity. 90* today and higher tomorrow and lots of humidity.

Happy Tuesday morning! A very happy one indeed! We finally got a bit of rain... around 1/2 inch yesterday evening. The rain barrell is 3/4ths full! And everything enjoyed the moisture and respite from the heat... even for just a little while.
Today... mid90s with another slight chance of rain. If we could just that 1/2 inch rain everyday for a while... wouldn't that be nice?

Good morning everyone, the temps are expected in the mid 80's and an almost sunny sky. The weeds are only winning in some areas. In the flower beds they are losing. Today the battle is in a daylily bed where the weeds only thought they were winning. Hoe, hoe, hoe, little do they know!! :)

Good Mid Morning, We have aquired another inch or more of rain in the last hour. :( Severe storm warnings all over and flood watches for much of northeastern Ohio. Wish I could send MOST of this to all of you in Texas!!!

River Keiper going on in the driveway again. Same look, different day. Completely submerged.

Good morning all. Our early morning walks have run into reasons to not happen most mornings. Only made one last week and we did make it this morning. It really is nice outside at 6 a.m.....or it might just be that I am not awake enough to really understand what I am doing.

But it did get me out in the yard at a decent time this morning. Got two Turks Cap, three Mahonia and an assortment of Begonia, Coleus and an Asparagus Fern planted FINALLY, The Turks Cap I just bought last week but the others have been waiting since the third week of April....the order that arrived a few days after I hurt my back. Hopefully they will forgive me and prosper.
84 at 10:30 a.m. and that means I am finished out there until tomorrow morning.
