Wow, Cheryl. Glad to hear that for you and your garden.

Good Morning All, off to church today. Sounds like it's going to be a HOT week for us. In the 90's and I'm sure GOBS of humidity. As if that would be anything unusual for us. It's always smothering here.

Good morning everyone, all the tetraploid daylilies bloomed on the same day, I went running around with a pollen brush. :) The diploids are on their own. Near 90°F temperatures will keep us and activities in the shade.

Morning all. Cheryl you are hogging the rain now!!

There was a nice rain storm moving east to west across the northern 1/4th of Dallas County last night dropping good amounts of rain on cities as it went. By the time it got to my yard it had pretty much emptied itself and the sprinkles I got weren't even enough to be measurable...a Trace amount is less than 1/10th of an inch and I am not sure what we got would qualify as a Trace amount.

So we are beginning the 16th consecutive 100+ degree day and day 25 of no measurable rain. I'm so happy I could just spit dust.

Sorry to be hogging all the rain... I'd gladly share if I could! They are actually calling for a bit more rain on Tuesday. So today... I'm mowing. The grass grew like crazy the last couple of days.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 21°C and overcast. We had about half inch of rain this morning. Hoping for more rain again later, but with this heat I fear it could come in the form of severe thunderstorms. Off to work, have a great day all :)

Foggy, cool morning. It is supposed to warm up by mid week and let things dry up some.

Morning all. Already 84f/29c this morning. Got some grocery shopping for my Mom to do this morning and hopefully be back home before the temp reaches 90 but unless I get out in the next 20 minutes I don't think that will happen.

I really thought the temp would top out at only 99 yesterday and break the streak. The thermometer hovered on 99 from noon to almost 5 pm, then it zipped up to 101 just to show off. I am beginning to think that the days of the week are having a competition with each other to see which one can hold at 99 for the most number of hours then at the last minute make a higher jump over 100 than the others. I will have to make a study of the daily temperatures for the last month and see if my theory holds true.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 18°C and clear. It's going to be another hot day without rain. I was out to the garden this morning and picked another 8 zucchini, a basket of peas and a bucket full of green and purple beans. Blackberries will have to wait until later. Have a great day all.

Happy Tuesday morning. Yesterday, we had a good bit of rain here at the office, but only maybe 1/10th of an inch at the house. :'(
There's a 50% chance today of more rain. I could see the clouds off to the east as I left home.
Fingers crossed that we'll get some sort of measurable rainfall from it.
My oldest brother is coming for a visit from California and to attend a family reunion in Louisiana.
So... I'd better stop at the grocery store and stock up!

Good morning everyone, and a good morning it is. A hot one it will be so the morning activities are done chasing the shade as it travels across the yard. Every once and a while everything takes on a different look, hard to describe but this is one of those days. There is always a new flower, a surprise under a green leafy area or a plant that needs tending. The shade has reached a new area, cultivator in hand, those weeds have had enough fun, have a good one.

Good morning everyone, one word.....HOT. Water bucket in hand, the plants that play in the sun get their early morning drink. If we could only teach them to get their own water. :) Stay cool 8)

Happy Wednesday morning. Started the day off with a little rain shower. But the sun seems to have come out in full force already.
Which is okay... I need the grass to dry just a bit so I can do the last of the mowing and trimming when I get home.
My oldest brother arrives tonight. When he gets up in the morning and goes to the kitchen sink to get water to make his pot of coffee... I want him to be "wowed" when he sees my flower garden for the first time.
