Good day everyone, I have been 'Stewless' for three days as we were on a mini vacation. Except for a brief peek with my PDA outside a playhouse waiting for the doors to open , there was no WI-FI to keep me informed. What a relief to get 'connected' again. Now to read a half a zillion posts. :)

Good Friday afternoon all. Currently 23°c and sunny. We had torrential rains this morning but it has turned into a lovely day. AND all the gardens got a deep watering :)
    Have a great day all!

Good day everyone, the day has been overcast and cool, A good day to catch up on watering and see what new plants have flowered. The false dragon heads have begun to flower. daylilies are still opening, some are new this year.

No rain here. It's been mostly cloudy, some sunny and hot and humid but no rain. We went in to the library this morning and everyone was saying, "Wasn't that rain yesterday nice!" What rain? We didn't get any rain. Just clouds and a little thunder in the way distance, could hardly hear it.

    Happy Friday evening.
I came home to find 1 inch of rain in the gauge. yippee!!!
And I do believe the grass grew 2 inches since this morning! No wonder the mosquitos are so bad. Even the spray wasn't deterring them.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 16°C and sunny. I'm taking my daughter to work this morning and after a bit of housework I'm heading out to the gardens. It seems the rain has given the weeds a giant boost. I pulled a whole wheelbarrow full out of the back garden last night! Have a great day all :D

Happy Saturday morning. Going to be another hot one with a slight chance of rain. Time to mow everything again and do some weeding. Like Netty said, the weeds sure like rain.

Morning all. It will be interesting to see what is left of my plants this time next week.

This is the 7 day forecast for north Texas and add 5-10 degrees onto those numbers to get what it's actually going to feel like outside......

    Holy Cow Toni! Stay cool!
It is currently 17°C here and clear. Today's high is going to be 29°C or 85°F which is close to Toni's LOW temperatures this week. Today I hope to get some work done out in the veggie garden. Thankfully, the zucchini production seems to be slowing down. Have a great day all.

Happy Sunday morning. I'd better quit playing online and get the mowing done before it gets too hot.
Going to have to figure out something to do inside this afternoon. :headscratch:

Good morning everyone, mid to upper 80's will have the shady parts of the garden getting most of the attention. No rain till tomorrow.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 19°C and sunny. It must be humid because I'm already sweating like crazy!
It's a civic holiday here but I'm heading to work. My daughter is working too, but the rest of the family gets to stay home :( Have a great day all.

Morning all. Dooley I'll see your 104 and raise you 3.

I have decided that the windows will remain covered and the front door closed, I am tired of seeing nothing but cloudless blue skies and suffering plants.
I will play my winter tunes CD and stop the slide show screen saver on the photo of our front yard under 6 inches of snow from winter before last. Or I could watch my video of Dr. Zhivago, there are quite a few scenes that almost make me shiver.

I will do my best to not even think about 'outside' and will drink hot buttered rum to make sure I can do that ;)
