Morning all. What I would give for a little fall feel in the air.

We are working on another temperature record. Greatest number of 100+ days in a year...not consecutively, we finished that run last week in 2nd place.
We are now at 50 days for the year which puts us in 4th place.

    Yipee, go Us.

    Happy Wednesday afternoon.
The internet went out at my office yesterday around 3pm. Drove in this morning just knowing it would be back up. But... no. Was still out when I left there at 1pm. Might not be back up until noon-ish tomorrow. So I brought home some work and can at least get some things accomplished.
I'm usually so tempted to slack off work when I'm at home and go play outside... not today! Too darn hot!

Good Morning All, today is the first day of school here :( I can't hardly believe how fast the summer has gone. That means summer is just about over, even though they are going back only 1 week earlier than normal.

Carolyn, bummer! I have refused to think about when we return to school. It is late though (Sep 6th) Guess I should plan a day or two or three to get the bulletin boards up and update my data base, etc. Will finish building a shelf for school today and painting it. Weather will be cooler. Lovely summer/fall morning :stew2:

Morning all. School starts here next Monday but since I don't have kids that age anymore I only know that because it's been on the news lately.

I just ventured outside twice this morning, turn on the sprinkler, turn off the sprinkler. Now the daily hibernation will begin. Should be 106 today.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. The chance for rain yesterday didn't happen so I'll be dragging hoses all day. TGIF!

Toni, I don't know how you handle all the heat. Guess it is like our winter and you are held hostage indoors a lot.

Weather here is going to be sunny today with blue skies. Temps are moderate with highs in the upper 70s. Will be a great week-end with some low 80s. :-D Forget the weeds, we are going to the lake :stew2:

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 15°C and clear. All day soccer tournament today with the kids. Only one day of soccer left after this. Then I might have a bit of spare time for a few weeks!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, the mornings are getting cooler as the summer progresses and some of the flowering bushes are fading. The squirrels are helping gather the mushrooms but they tend to eat half and leave half, the chipmunks aren't any better. The weather channel says the temp here is 71°F and in the past 24 hours we have had a trace accumulation of rain and no snow.......No snow......that's a good thing. I will be foraging for more seeds today. Much harder to do in the snow. :)

It is a lazy morning here. I can't seem to get motivated. Grass to cut, cabbage, groundcherries and tomato's to bring in. Beds to prepare for turnips and beets. Small brush to chip. Manure to haul. All that and more this weekend.

Happy Saturday morning. I sure wanted to sleep in long this morning, but I must get some mowing/trimming started. I don't think I'll attempt to finish everything in one day. Today I'll concentrate on just the back yard. I should be done before the temps reach 100F.
One thing about all scorching weather... it's forcing me to get some much needed indoor-work done! :-D
