Happy day all. No work for me yet because we had a thunder shower arrive early this morning, now it's a gentle rain falling
So far, almost 2 inches. Very welcome and refreshing. Flowers are lovin it.

Morning all. There appears to be an end to the heat wave coming in a few days. Temps will be going back down to the normal range, 90-95 degrees!!! Best thing is the early morning temps will be down in the 70's which means I will be able to spend an hour or so working in the yards once in a while.
Of course, like all weather forecasts for good stuff like rain and cooler temps....I'll believe it when I see it.

Good day everyone, cleanup from Irene is finished, the tree canopy is a little bit thinner. Most flowers survived intact, seed gathering has resumed with an eye toward next spring and a new flower bed.

Happy Tuesday night. My sis will be here tomorrow afternoon from Oakland for a week's visit.
From the garden, there's frozen purple hull peas, corn and okra and the last watermelon is chillin' in the fridge. And we've got it planned that she has to go pick the next batch of okra on Thursday!
Everything is mowed and trimmed and most of the weeds in the flower beds have been pulled. I just wish she could have been here a month ago before the heat took it's toll on the flowers.
No matter... sure going to be nice to see her!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 16°C and clear. It was hard getting out of bed this morning...it is still dark out when I get up at 5:30!! Walked the dog in the dark and now I'm leaving in the dark...I hate this time of year!!
My kids are off to their second day of school today. They are already whining...it's going to be a LONG year!
Have a great day all :)

Good day all. It is going to be a sunny day today. Daughter goes back to college today, and with her goes 1/2 the house. I don't know how she fits it all in one small dorm room!

They are forecasting chances of rain( from 20-50%) for us starting this evening and continuing throughout the weekend! Wouldn't that be nice??
Taking the afternoon off from work. So I'd better stop goofing off and get busy! :-D

Good morning! As much as we need the rain I'm glad it held off while Andy and family was here. One more day and I can sit back and relax for awhile. I have two doctor appointments today. Then, the rain can come and stay for four days. I got up early and watered all the trees and rose bushes. They felt a little neglected these past few days.

GOOD Thursday morning all! It is 16°C and overcast. We have a chance of showers today and we really need some rain. I noticed the first Maple leaves starting to change colors yesterday ... this makes me very sad :(
Dad is feeling a bit better and acting more himself again. This makes me very happy :)
    Have a great day all!

Morning all. Today will be day 66 of 100+ temperatures this season.
But there may be cool at the end of heat tunnel we have been in, might not make it to 100 for a few days over the weekend....still no rain.
